Long-time coach Charlie Taaffe has died at the age of 69. Taaffe, who played quarterback at Clemson and then Siena, would go on to coach at Albany, Georgia Tech, NC State, Virginia and Army before being named head coach at The Citadel where he served as head coach for ten seasons. Later, Taaffe would go on to serve as offensive coordinator for the Montreal Alouettes, at Maryland and Pitt before becoming head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He finished his coaching career at UCF where he served as offensive coordinator on George O'Leary's staff. Please keep Coach, as well as his family and friends, in your prayers. God bless.
