Montreal (CFL): The Alouettes have fired head coach Jacques Chapdelaine and defensive coordinator Noel Thorpe. GM Kavis Reed will serve as head coach through the remainder of the season. Defensive line coach Greg Quick will now call the defense and quarterbacks coach Anthony Calvillo will now call the offense.

CFL: The CFL will announce today it has banned in-season full contact practices, effective immediately. Read more here.

Florida: Offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier will move from the sideline to the press box to call plays, Jim McElwain said Wednesday.
