Kansas: David Beaty has announced that he will call the plays this season and will also work with the quarterbacks, stating that he initiated the change because his "name is on it". Offensive coordinator Rob Likens will maintain the offensive coordinator title and will be more involved in all areas of the offense.

Peyton Manning will announce he is retiring tomorrow, per Chris Mortensen. 

Illinois: Sources tell FootballScoop Mike Phair, who had been promoted to defensive coordinator by Bill Cubit, will be retained by Lovie (capacity to be determined). Running backs coach Nathan Scheelchaase (a former Illini quarterback) is expected to be given the opportunity to stay on in some capacity sources tell FootballScoop. We previously had heard that Lovie's sons Mikal and Miles were expected to join the staff in some capacity; but hear tonight those decisions have not been finalized.

Nevada: Former Montana State linebackers coach Jody Owens is joining the Nevada staff as a defensive grad assistant source tells FootballScoop.
