Houston Texans: As his team was leaving the field tonight at halftime, Gary Kubiak went down in pain. He has been taken to a local hospital for tests. Please keep him in your prayers.
Texas: Arkansas AD Jeff Long says tonight that he isn't involved with the Texas search. This is Oliver Luck's job folks.
FAU: Sources tell us FAU AD Pat Chun is already speaking with potential candidates for the head coaching position. He is doing his diligence and will speak with a number of guys we're told; but the focus we're told his where it should be on guys who can recruit locally and re-energize the program. Sources tell us Eddie Gran, Danny Barrett at UCF and Brian Jenkins at Bethune-Cookman are all possibilities. We'll keep you updated.
Texas: Oliver Luck, Arizona State AD Steve Patterson and Arkansas AD Jeff Long are the finalists for the Texas AD position according to Chuck Carlton of the Dallas Morning News. At FootballScoop we continue to believe that Oliver Luck is the guy.
USC: Lovie Smith has interviewed for the Trojans' vacant head coaching position according to CBS' Jason LaCanfora. FootballScoop does not expect Lovie to come back to college. LaCanfora adds that Jon Gruden has no interest in the job and that Steve Sarkisian was considered a strong candidate but that might have waned given UW's three consecutive Pac-12 losses. Update> Lovie's son (and agent) Matt has come out publicly (again) refuting the report from CBS sports.
John Fox: Fox will indeed undergo heart surgery and is expected to miss several weeks. The Broncos have not named an interim head coach, but offensive coordinator Adam Gase and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio are expected to have increased roles with the team, according to Adam Schefter.
