Monday December 15, 2008

Send in your official job postings. We'll place them on the scoop. Also, let us know what you hear.

Auburn: A report in the Birmingham News states that the Auburn assistants were told last night by new head coach Gene Chizik to look for jobs elsewhere. Two of Chizik's assistants at Iowa State are Auburn graduates, defensive line coach Mike Pelton and assistant coach Jeff Koonz.

Florida Atlantic: Who are the candidates for the offensive coordinator job? Let us know:

Iowa State: Oklahoma assistant Jay Norvell was close to getting the Iowa State job when Chizik was hired.

Maryland: Head coach Ralph Friedgen has appointed Al Seamonson as interim defensive coordinator for the Humanitarian Bowl preparations. Seamonson replaces Chris Cosh, who recently joined the Kansas State staff.

Miami (OH): Sources tell FootballScoop that New Orleans Saints assistant Aaron Kromer has now been contacted by Miami (OH) officials. We hear Kromer will be on campus and interview this week. Michigan State assistant Don Treadwell and Illinois assistant Curt Mallory are still in the mix.
