The Scoop

Sunday January 18, 2009 (Update 2)

Auburn: University of Colorado offensive line / run game coordinator Jeff Grimes has accepted the offensive line position at Auburn.

Florida: Head coach Urban Meyer has talked with Art Kehoe about joining the Gator's staff. Pete Perot has returned to the LA Tech coaching staff as offensive line coach. We hear Meyer is unsure at this time how he will organize his offensive coaching staff responsibilities.

Miami: Our sources tell us that Boise State wide receivers coach Brent Pease is not a candidate for the offensive coordinator position at Miami. We hear head coach Randy Shannon is indeed interested in Cleveland Browns quarterbacks coach Rip Scherer.

Ohio: We hear former Eastern Michigan offensive coordinator Scott Ispording will be named tight ends / recruiting coordinator at Ohio University.

Utah: We hear head coach Kyle Whittingham tried to keep Aaron Roderick by naming him co-offensive coordinator / play caller. Roderick chose to join Steve Sarkisian's staff at Washington as wide receivers coach. We hear Dave Schramm will be promoted to offensive coordinator. The Utes need to fill the quarterbacks and wide receiver positions.

To ensure our list is as complete and accurate as possible, we are asking that someone from each D1 staff email us the current list of coaches and all GAs / quality control along with their respective titles. Once we have collected the data we will post it on the site and then maintain it going forward. Please send your emails to: <> Please title the email "Your University Coaching Staff."
