Detroit Lions: We hear the Lions have hired Sam Gash (running backs), Shawn Jefferson (wide receivers), George Yarno (former assistant OL with Bucs), and Matt Burke.

Eastern Oregon: Legi Suiaunoa has been named defensive coordinator. Suiaunoa previously served on the Western Washington staff. Former defensive coordinator Eti Ena has joined the Idaho staff.

Hofstra: Rich Nagy has been hired as defensive coordinator. Nagy previously served as defensive coordinator at Murray State.

Miami (OH): FootballScoop has confirmed that McNeese State defensive backs coach Lance Guidry has joined Mike Haywood's staff.

North Dakota State: Southern Illinois offensive line coach Scott Fuchs has joined the NDSU staff as offensive line coach.

Philadelphia Eagles: We hear Doug Pederson will return to Philadelphia as "offensive assistant." Pederson has served as the head football coach at Calvary Baptist HS in Louisiana. Our sources tell us the special teams coordinator Rory Segrest could take over the defensive line. Former Cleveland Browns special teams coordinator Ted Daisher is expected to join the Eagles staff. We hear defensive line coach Pete Jenkins may retire.

South Carolina: We hear special teams coordinator Ray Rychleski has accepted a position with the Indianapolis Colts. Our sources tell us Spurrier has hired Jeep Hunter to coach the tight ends. Hunter last served as the tight ends coach under Chan Gailey at Georgia Tech. It is likely that South Carolina assistant Shane Beamer will take over as special teams coordinator.
