Denver Broncos: The Broncos have hired Roman Phifer as assistant linebackers coach. This is the first coaching assignment for the former NFL star linebacker.

University of Houston: Sam Houston State offensive line coach B.J. Anderson is heading to Houston in the same capacity.

Kansas State: Offensive assistant Dave Brock is leaving Kansas State to accept the tight ends job at Boston College.

Middle Tennessee State: Nichols State defensive coordinator Steve Ellis is joining the MTSU staff as cornerbacks coach.

New York Jets: Former University of Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Matt Cavanaugh is the new quarterbacks coach. Ben Kotwica has been retained as assistant special teams coach. Brian Smith has been retained as well, but moves to the defensive quality control position.

North Carolina A&T: We hear head coach Alonzo Lee will hired Chennis Berry as co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach. Berry previously served as the OC / OL coach at Morgan State. Virginia State offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Michael Morand will become the co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks & wide receivers coach. Miles College defensive coordinator / linebackers coach Maurice Johnson is expected to accept the defensive coordinator / linebackers job. Travis Oliver (defensive backs), George Ragsdale (running backs), and Tayrone Odum (defensive line) have all been retained.

North Dakota State: We hear former Wyoming defensive coordinator Mike Breske and Ohio University cornerbacks coach David Brown are the finalists for the defensive coordinator position.

Southern Virginia: Offensive coordinator DeLane Fitzgerald has been promoted to interim head coach.

Trinity Bible College: Dustin Morgan has accepted the head coaching position.
