Coaches Quick Hits

UL-Lafayette: Our sources are telling us that ULL has hired Brian Wallace as the defensive GA. Wallace previously served as the linebackers coach at Louisiana College.

Portland State: We hear offensive line coach Jim Craft and wide receivers coach Kevin Strasser are being considered for the offensive coordinator position. The position came available three weeks ago when veteran coach Mouse Davis announced his retirement. A replacement could be named later this week.

IUP: Former Midwestern State (TX) grad assistant Tye Desiderio has joined the Indiana University (PA) staff as a grad assistant.

Chowan University: (D2, CIAA) Assistant Football Coach - Defense/Video Coordinator. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree; and, playing or coaching defensive line at the college level is required. Playing or coaching experience in an even front defense desired. Extensive computer skills, knowledge of video editing equipment (APEX editing system) and the ability to break down game film required. Position will include coaching, practice video and film exchange responsibilities as well as responsibilities with reference to film breakdowns, scouting reports, editing, recruiting and other duties as assigned. This is an entry level, full-time, ten month position with restricted salary & room as compensation. Lock Haven University: A division II school in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Football Coach. Candidates must be highly motivated and willing to put in the hours that the job demands. This position will be a part-time, entry level position. Previous College playing and/or coaching experience is highly recommended. Position will include coaching a position assigned by the head coach, recruiting and assisting with Academics and all other duties assigned by Head Coach. DSV editing experience is preferred.
