Monday Morning: Coaches Quick Hits
Arkansas-Monticello: Head coach Gwaine Mathews has hired Wooddale HS (Memphis, TN) head coach Julius Jackson as the new wide receivers coach. Jackson replace Jafar Williams, who accepted a position on the staff at Howard University.
Millsaps College (MS): We hear former player and student assistant Ronnie Wheat has been hired as outside linebackers coach. Also, former Independence CC assistant Brett Borden has joined the staff as inside linebackers coach.
LSU: According to a report from ESPN's Chris Low, Les Miles' contract states that LSU must make Miles the highest paid coach in the SEC by at least $1,000. That would mean that Urban Meyer's new contract is essentially getting Les Miles another raise.
Florida: Head coach Urban Meyer has agreed to a new 6-year contract worth 24 million dollars.
Stanford: Jordan Sundheim will serve as the offensive GA this year under head coach Jim Harbaugh. Sundheim will work with the tight ends and special teams.
UCLA: Head coach Rick Neuheisal has voluntarily agreed to take a 10% salary pay cut this year. He is one of 3 UCLA head coaches to do so, in order to help the athletic department.

Portland State: We are hearing Hawaii grad assistant / assistant receivers coach, Craig Stutzmann, will accept the wide receivers job at Portland State.

South Alabama: Hooper Academy coach Zach Golson has accepted a graduate assistant position under head coach Joey Jones at South Alabama. The former walkon player at Alabama will work with the Jaguars' defensive coaches.

Ball State: Former Ball State offensive lineman, Dan Gerberry, has been offered a GA position by head coach Stan Parrish. If Gerberry doesn't stick with the Detroit Lions as a free-agent, he will likely end up back in Muncie, coaching at his alma mater.
South Dakota State: We hear running backs coach Shannon Moore is moving to quarterbacks. A new grad assistant will coach the running backs. Shawn Mennenga is the new linebackers coach. Former player and grad assistant, Josh Davis, will serve as interim wide receivers coach. Former Wayne State assistant Tim Triplett is serving as the interim tight ends coach. Former quarterbacks coach Don Bailey is now in the private business world.
