Monday morning: Coaches Quick Hits

Kansas State: Bill Snyder's contract will pay him a total of $9.575 million through the end of the 2013 season. After his employment as head coach, Snyder will receive $150,000 annually as a special assistant to the athletic director.

Michigan State: The MSU board of trustees has approved the contract extension of AD Mark Hollis through 2016. Head football coach Mark Dantonio will receive a $2 million dollar bonus if he remains as head coach through January 15, 2016.

New Hampshire: Former UNH defensive end Matt Perdoni, who co-captained the 2007 Division I playoff team, has rejoined the program as a graduate assistant coach.

Pittsburgh Steelers: The Pittsburgh Steelers are negotiating terms of a contract extension with coach Mike Tomlin, Yahoo! Sports reports. Tomlin has two years left on his current contract, and both sides say a deal likely won't be finalized until after the 2009 season. But Pittsburgh is expected to try to lock up their Super Bowl-winning coach with a long-term deal. "Even if it doesn't get announced until after the season, both sides are very comfortable with the situation," a Steelers source told the Website. "I think Mike feels very comfortable about what the Steelers are going to do for him. He's not out there hanging, not sure what's going to happen."
