Montreal Alouettes: We hear Montreal has agreed to a new contract extension with head coach Marc Trestman.
Florida Atlantic: Kirk Hoza will not return as defensive coordinator. We hear Kurt Van Valkenburgh has been promoted to defensive coordinator. Valkenburgh will continue to coach the linebackers and FAU will look to hire a secondary coach. GA Jared Allen has been promoted to wide receivers coach. OC Darryl Jackson will move from wide receivers to quarterbacks.
Tusculum College: no jobs are open at Tusculum College.
San Jose State: We hear Mike MacIntyre will get a 5-year contract.
Kansas: Former head coach Mark Mangino will get $3 million in a settlement with the university.
Duke: With co-defensive coordinator Mike MacIntyre taking the San Jose State head coaching job, we hear David Cutcliffe could name co-defensive coordinator / defensive line coach Marion Hobby as the new DC. Our sources tell us Cutcliffe may bring in former Tennessee defensive ends coach Steve Caldwell and let Derek Jones take over the entire secondary.
Emporia State: We hear Coffeyville CC defensive assistant Steve Vincent will be joining the staff at Emporia State.
Nicholls State: Our sources now tell us to look for Nicholls State to hire either Tim Rebowe (ULL assistant) or St. Charles Catholic HS head coach Frank Monica. Monica was a long time college OC, who for years owned the River Parish recruiting area. He is extremely well liked in the Thibodaux and New Orleans areas.
East Central CC (MS): We hear interim head coach Brian Anderson has been hired as the new head coach.
Kansas: None of the assistant will be retained including David Beatty, who many thought would be a part of Gill's staff. Gill said the decision not retain Beatty was very difficult.
Cincinnati: Butch Jones will retain Kerry Coombs, who served as the defensive backs coach this year at Cincinnati. Jones will not coach in the Sugar Bowl.
Central Michigan: Associate head coach Steve Stripling has been named interim head coach.
ULM: Todd Berry has hired Illinois State OC Steve Farmer and retained Troy Reffett as DC.
Albright College: An NCAA Division III institution and a member of the highly competitive Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Intern Assistant Football Coach (Defense: DL or LB's). Qualifications: Bachelors degree required with successful football playing and/or coaching experience, strong professional/interpersonal communication skills and organizational efficiency, outstanding character and leadership qualities a must. The successful applicant should also possess strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point, and Access software. Some experience with DV-Sport digital editing system is a plus. Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Middle Atlantic Conference, and Albright College. Duties include coaching your own position and; plan, organize, and instruct positional meetings and drills; contribute to defensive game plan; recruit your own territory and attract top quality student-athletes to attend Albright College. Administrative duties include: game week organizational tasks, film breakdown, opponent scouting, self-scouting, tendency reports, video cut-ups, scouting reports, assist S&C coach with weight room, oversee and counsel players on academic and social issues, and other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. Compensation includes a $3,000 annual stipend paid over a 10 month contract, free off-campus housing, free meal plan in campus dining hall. No health benefits are included with this position. Livingstone College: Elvin James has accepted the head coach. James comes from Elizabeth City State, where he served as the assistant to the athletic director.
San Jose State: Duke DC Mike MacIntyre will be named head coach.
Denison University: Our sources tell us the head coaching job will open with the resignation of Nick Fletcher.
Murray State: We hear the interviews are over and Murray State will make a decision tonight or tomorrow morning. Our source tells us Hatcher, McCray, and Shankweiler all had very good interviews.
Tennessee: Lane Kiffin met with Kippy Brown on Tuesday according to ESPN's Chris Low.
Marshall: HerdNation is reporting that Marshall is planning to offer Doc Holliday 5 years at $650,000 per year.
Marshall: Just moments ago Mitch Vingle of the West Virginia Gazette, "West Virginia associate head coach Doc Holliday has left Florida, where he was on the road recruiting for the Mountaineers, and is en route to Huntington. It also looks like he's en route to the head coaching football job at Marshall. Sources, who asked to remain anonymous, told the Gazette that no deal has been finalized, but that Holliday is the apparent choice to succeed Mark Snyder, who recently chose to resign rather than be fired as the MU coach."
Southern University (LA): Prairie View DC Heishma Northern has interviewed for the head coach job. Northern was the 2008 FootballScoop D1-AA Coordinator of the Year powered by MUSCLE MILK.

Marshall: We are hearing that despite a report, Liberty head coach Danny Rocco has not interviewed with Marshall.
Savannah State: We hear a defensive line job just came open.
Portland State: We hear former Oklahoma State head coach Bob Simmons will join Nigel Burton's staff at Portland State. From what we hear, Simmons will serve as the special teams coordinator.
Akron: We hear North Dakota State linebackers coach Charlie Camp will join the staff at Akron.
Simon Frazer: is not accepting any more applications for the defensive coordinator job.
Kansas: We hear the only assistant who may get to stay is wide receivers coach Dave Beatty. All other assistants appear on the way out.
