Kansas: FootballScoop has learned that former Mississippi State offensive line coach, JB Grimes, will be joining the Kansas staff as offensive line coach.

Mississippi State: Our sources tell us former Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez interviewed today with Dan Mullen.

Marshall: There is report in West Virginia that Doc Holliday plans to hire Tony Peterson as OC. Phil Ratliff will likely remain with the staff.

Akron: Ron Powlus will serve as the quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator. Former Georgetown assistant Jim Miceli will join the staff as running backs coach. Miceli will also have the title of assistant head coach.

Kansas State: Bill Snyder announced Chris Cosh will be promoted to defensive coordinator. K-State will hire a secondary coach in the next few days. Clint Bowen has interviewed for that position.

Houston Texans: ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that "Gary Kubiak has resided to the fact that OC Kyle Shanahan will be leaving the organization at the end of the season to join his father's new team (whomever it will be)."

Cleveland Browns: ESPN's Chris Mortensen has just reported Mike Holmgren has agreed to become team president. Holmgren will have the authority of a general manager.

Arkansas: We hear that Arkansas coaches have spoken with Eric Price and David Kelly (wide receivers coach at Central Florida).

Pikeville College: We hear that offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Scott Branton has resigned.

Kansas: We are hearing Illinois running backs coach Reggie Mitchell is set to join Turner Gill's staff at Kansas.

UNLV: Our sources tell us that Dennis Franchione, Bobby Hauck, or Gary Barnett will land the UNLV job.

Wesleyan University (CT): FootballScoop has just learned that Frank Hauser will not return as head coach. Our sources tell us a decision was made this morning.

Georgia: We hear former Georgia head coach Jim Donnan stated on the radio that Dallas Cowboys defensive line coach Todd Grantham is a candidate for the DC job at Georgia.

Florida Atlantic: Our sources tell us FAU has interest in Florida State defensive GA Terrell Buckley.

NFL: Several national reports suggest this off-season we will see an unprecedented number of coaching changes in the NFL. It will be interesting to see the number of college assistants join the NFL ranks. FootballScoop will be following all of the changes.

Southern University (LA): We hear Southern will speak with Shaw University (NC) head coach Darrell Asberry.

Valpo: We hear interviews will be conducted in the first week of January. Our source tells us Wabash head coach Erik Raeburn is a finalist.

West Virginia: We hear former WVU quarterback Rasheed Marshall could be in line to replace JuJuan Seider as offensive GA.

Kansas State: Former Kansas DC Clint Bowen interviewed with Bill Snyder for the defensive backs position.

Notre Dame: We are hearing that Indiana State special teams coordinator / linebackers coach Mike Denbrock will join Brian Kelly's staff. Denbrock served as the OC with Kelly at Grand Valley State from 1992-95 and then as DC from 1996-98.
