Arkansas State: FootballScoop has just learned that former Memphis OC Clay Helton has joined the Arkansas State staff as offensive coordinator.

Dartmouth: We are hearing tight ends coach Mike Hodgson and outside linebackers coach Cedric Calhoun will not return.

San Jose State: Our sources tell us head coach Mike MacIntyre has offered a position on his offensive staff to Lambuth University coach Huge Freeze.

Murray State: We hear Chris Hatcher is bringing former Georgia Southern DC Ashley Anders to Murray State.

Memphis: We are hearing Larry Porter is talking today with former Kansas City Chiefs wide receivers coach Eric Price about the offensive coordinator job at Memphis. It will be interesting to see if the Jay Hopson hire means that Bill Wilt isn't far behind. Hopson and Wilt have worked together at Marshall and Southern Miss.

Valpo: Our sources tell us Wabash head coach Erik Raeburn is no longer a candidate for the Valpo job.

Princeton: Cincinnati Bengals assistant offensive line coach Bob Surace has accepted the head coaching job at Princeton University.

Olivet College: We hear Marshall HS (MI) head coach Rich Hulkow will be named head coach.

Memphis: Michigan linebackers coach Jay Hopson has been hired as the defensive coordinator at Memphis.

Duke: FootballScoop has learned that Cornell University head coach Jim Knowles will be heading to Duke as co-defensive coordinator. Knowles coached at Ole Miss with Duke head coach David Cutcliffe in 2003.

Florida State: We hear East Carolina DC Greg Hudson has agreed to become the new linebackers coach at Florida State.

Montana: Sources in Missoula tell us that Boise State wide receivers coach Brent Pease, Montana wide receivers coach Robin Pflugrad, and Wisconsin defensive coordinator Dave Doeren would all accept the position if offered. Several influential booster would back all three of the above names. Former Montana head coach Joe Glenn has stated that he is not interested in returning as head coach. Alabama OC Jim McElwain is a native of Montana, but he would have like have to take a pay cut and he will have larger opportunities in time. We don't expect McElwain to get involved.

Lindsey Wilson College: Former Illinois wide receiver Will Judson has joined the staff as a grad assistant. Also, former Western Kentucky strength & condiditiong GA, Bert Bathiany, has been hired to coach the defensive line.

Saint Anselm College: Immediate Opening: seeking one offensive football intern (Offensive Line). The internship program is designed to provide coaches with a rich blend of coaching and administration experience at a competitive NCAA, DII private college. This position includes a stipend of $14,000 and the following job duties: coaching the Offensive Line, practice planning, scouting, video analysis, skill and team instruction, all phases of recruiting and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Coaching and/or playing experienced preferred. Minority applications are strongly encouraged. A Meal stipend is included but NO IMMEDIATE LODGING - (may become a possibility at a later date) NO Education /Medical Benefits. Again looking to fill the position immediately.
