Georgia: The Tuscaloosa News is reporting Kirby Smart has formally been offered the Georgia defensive coordinator position. We hear if Smart accepts the job, Nick Saban will almost certainly talk with Tony Grantham (Dallas Cowboy defensive line) regarding the defensive coordinator job.

South Florida: We hear the South Florida AD is certainly interested in Skip Holtz, Tommy Bowden, and Dan McCarney. We were told Jim McElwain is interested in the job.

Texas Tech: Our sources tell us that Tubs wants Don Dunn (former Auburn DL) to join his staff. We hear Tubs will keep the wide open offense that is the staple of Texas Tech football. Our source tells us he has talked with Steve Ensminger. According to our source, Eddie Gran will most likely stay at Florida State. We were told to expect Tubs to keep a couple of current assistants. We heard Lincoln Riley has done a great job recruiting the South Florida area, which Tubs will want to recruit. We also heard that Tubs will likely have great interest in keeping Matt Moore (OL) and Ruffin McNeal. Our source tells us it's unlikely that former Auburn offensive line Hugh Nall will want to go.

San Jose State: We hear Terry Malley (quarterbacks) and Ken Margerum (wide receivers) are in limbo. Our source tell us both coaches are still with San Jose State at this point.

Washington Redskins: We hear Shanahan wants Jedd Fisch (Minnesota Gophers OC) to join his staff.

South Florida: USF hired Chuck Neinas to help with their coaching search.

Memphis: We just heard Memphis has only filled on defense the DC (Hopson) and DL positions (Dubose).

Marshall: We hear Doc Holliday has invited all the grad assistants to return.

Kentucky: Our sources tell us Joker Phillips is interested in Arkansas offensive line coach Mike Summers.

Texas Tech: We hear Tubs wants James Willis (Alabama linebackers / associate head coach) and Eddie Gran ( Florida State running backs / special teams coordinator) as his coordinators.

Nicholls State: Our sources tell us interim head coach Kent Keith will not be a part of Charlie Stubbs' new coaching staff.

Central Michigan: We hear Loeffler and Lobotzke withdrew their names, which likely means CMU has their guy. Our source tells us Dan Enos definitely has a shot to get the job.

Texas Tech: Tommy Tuberville has accepted the Texas Tech head coaching position.

Dean College: We hearMatt Chapman has accepted the OC / offensive line position. Chapman served on the staff at UMASS last season.
