Stanford: According to Charley Casserly of CBS, the Buffalo Bills offered the head coaching job to Jim Harbaugh, but Harbaugh turned it down.

Marshall: FootballScoop has learned that Doc Holliday has hired Chris Rippon as defensive coordinator.

Kentucky: FootballScoop has confirmed that there is a false report circulating about an assistant coach from another school joining the Kentucky staff.

East Carolina: We have heard that former Boston College head coach Jeff Jagodzinski is interested in the job.

Wagner College: We continue to hear the defensive backs job is open.

Louisville: Our sources in Kentucky tell us that Miami defensive line coach Clint Hurrt has met with head coach Charlie Strong in the last 48 hours.

East Carolina: ESPN's Joe Schad is reporting that MTSU head coach Rick Stockstill is interviewing for the East Carolina job. We were told this morning that Skip Holtz and Rick Stockstill are close friends that talk at least once a week.

Akron: Vince Okruch will remain on the coaching staff. He will serve as special teams / safeties coach. Western Illinois wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson is the new wide receivers coach. Matt Arshinkoff, Anthony Doria, Matt Thurin, Jeff Blasko, and Andy Wolfrum will complete the grad assistant and quality control positions.

Tennessee: David Reaves (quarterbacks) and James Cregg (offensive line) will not be back with the Vols. We hear Willie Mack Garza (defensive backs) is in limbo until the new defensive coordinator is on board. Mack Garza could remain on the staff. Linebackers coach Lance Thompson is expected to return.

Chicago Bears: There are 2 reports that Rob Chudzinski could land in Chicago as the Bears offensive coordinator.

Washington Redskins: Kirk Olivadotti has been retained as defensive assistant.

Harding University: We are hearing Rocky Hall has accepted the defensive grad assistant position.

Nicholls State: Our sources tell us defensive backs coach Dustin Gisclair will be retained.

Central Michigan: Our sources tell us Max Glowacki (tight ends / recruiting coordinator) has been retained.

South Florida: We have just learned that none of the East Carolina assistants, other than Vernon Hargreaves, have heard just yet if they will be joining Skip Holtz at USF.

Texas Tech: Lamar University offensive coordinator Tommy Mainord has accepted a position at Texas Tech.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins have interviewed Houston Texans offensive assistant Matt LaFleur.

Cal: We are hearing former Eastern Michigan head coach Jeff Genyk has accepted the special teams coordinator / tight ends position at Cal.

UCONN: We have confirmed that defensive coordinator Todd Orlando met extensively with Virginia Tech defensive backs coach Torrian Gray during the convention. We hear Gray is not considered a candidate to fill the UCONN defensive backs job, but he did recommend another coach. We are working to find out which way Randy Edsall will go with this hire. Former Georgia defensive coordinator Willie Martinez may have had a jump on the situation with Lakatos going to UGA. Martinez has always been highly thought of as a secondary coach and had some terrific times as a coordinator.

LA Tech: Parker & Associates in Atlanta has been hired to help with the LA Tech search.

Tennessee: FootballScoop has confirmed that wide receivers coach Kippy Brown has accepted an offer to join Pete Carroll's staff with the Seattle Seahawks.

Oklahoma: The Norman Transcript reports that current Houston defensive line coach Jim Jeffcoat was considered for the defensive ends job at OU when Chris Wilson was hired. It will be interesting to see if Jeffcoat is targeted this time around by Stoops.

Mississippi State: Oklahoma defensive ends coach Chris Wilson did accept the job at Mississippi State. We hear Wilson will have the title of co-defensive coordinator / defensive line.

UTEP: We are hearing Ohio Northern defensive coordinator Adam Gonzaga will be the new safeties coach at UTEP. A source has told us that grad assistant Robert Rodriguez has been promoted to linebackers coach.

Seattle Seahawks: We have heard that Pete Carroll has offered the secondary job to Washington Redskins defensive backs coach Jerry Gray. Our source tell us Gray accepted the job last night.
