Oakland Raiders: We hear former NY Giants defensive line coach Mike Waufle will interview with Oakland.

Lewis & Clark: We hear wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator Phil Magbanua will be promoted to offensive coordinator.

Pacific: We hear Lewis & Clark offensive line coach Ian Falconer will be joining the Pacific staff.

Texas A&M: Air Force defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter has accepted the same position at A&M, according to several reports.

Central Michigan: We have just been told that Pitt linebackers coach Joe Tumpkin has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Central Michigan.

LA Tech: Our sources tell us LA Tech interviewed a minority D1 defensive coordinator today.

Arkansas Pine-Bluff: Former Fort Valley State assistant Vernon Dean has joined the UAPB staff. Also, former Mississippi Valley State defensive line coach Dennis Winston has joined the staff.

Clemson: Dabo Swinney has just stated that Steele has turned down the offer to join the Tennessee staff after meeting with the Clemson players.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins hired veteran coach Jacob Burney to coach the defensive line.

Seattle Seahawks: FootballScoop has confirmed that Minnesota offenisve coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch has accepted the quarterbacks coach position with the Seahawks.

Pittsburgh Steelers: FootballScoop has confirmed that Randy Fichtner will coach the quarterbacks next season.

Furman: FootballScoop has just learned that Gardner-Webb assistant Rusty Wright is joining the Furman staff as linebackers coach.

Clemson: There are now reports that Steele might not be accepting the DC position at Tennessee.

Georgia: The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that defensive coordinator Todd Grantham would owe UGA $1 million if he leaves for any other job within the next year other than a D1 or NFL head coaching job.

According to the article, "The memorandum, from which a formal contract will be drafted, stipulates that Grantham would owe Georgia liquidated damages equal to 75 percent of the guaranteed payments remaining on the contract if he resigns for any other reason before Feb. 1, 2011. The contract calls for Grantham to receive a salary of $750,000 per year for three years -- a total of $2.25 million - through Jan. 31, 2013. So if he were to resign in, say, January 2011 with two years left on the contract, he'd owe UGA 75 percent of the approximately $1.5 million left on the contract -- or approximately $1.125 million."

Pittsburgh Steelers: According to a report, wide receivers coach Randy Fichtner may move over to quarterbacks.

Western Michigan: Former Lane College (TN) secondary coach Amp Cambell has joined the staff as cornerbacks coach.

Washington Redskins: Steve Jackson will remain with the staff as safeties coach.

East Carolina: We hear Grambling head coach Rod Broadway will interview again with Terry Holland.

Tennessee: Several outlets are now reporting that Clemson defensive coordinator Kevin Steele has accepted the defensive coordinator position at Tenneseee. One report indicates Steele will receive a 3-year deal worth over $600,000 per season. The move would likely send Lance Thompson from linebackers to defensive line, which Thompson has previous experience coaching.

Miami Dolphins: Former NY Giants defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan has accepted the inside linebackers job with the Dolphins.

Buffalo Bills: Chan Gailey will be introduced today as head coach.

Austin College (TX): Head coach Ronnie Gage has been hired at Barbers Hill HS (TX).

Notre Dame: Despite a report in The Tennessean newspaper, we have confirmed that former Western Kentucky head coach will not be joining the staff at Notre Dame.

Ohio Dominican: FootballScoop has learned that Ohio Dominican has hired former Ohio State assistant coach Bill Conley as head football coach.

East Carolina: Our sources have just told us that Rick Stockstill has turned down the East Carolina job.

USC: We are hearing Lane Kiffin has offered a position to former Tennessee tackles / tight ends coach James Cregg.

Western Kentucky: We hear Kent State offensive coordinator A.J. Pratt has joined the Western Kentucky staff.

Miami Dolphins: There is a report that former Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Mike Nolan will interview for the same position with the Dolphins.

San Diego Chargers: Norv Turner has received a 3-year contract extension.

Azusa Pacific University: We hear Stanford recruiting assistant Jordan Paopao has joined the staff as offensive line coach / run game coordinator.

Tennessee: Jim Chaney will remain as the offensive coordinator.

Houston: Offensive quality control Kliff Kingsburry has been promoted to quarterbacks coach.

Thiel College: 1 full time Assistant Football Coach/ Offensive Coordinator - This position will report to the Head Football Coach and the Athletic Director. This position will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the college's intercollegiate football program. Responsibilities: Assist the Head Football Coach in practices and games and manage all aspects of the offense. Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA Division III, the Presidents Athletic Conference, and Thiel College. Recruit and retain student athletes for the college and the football program. Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Head Football Coach. This position includes a salary with benefits. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Previous experience in collegiate football as an assistant coach required and experience as an offensive coordinator is preferred. Human Relations Skills: Ability to function effectively as a team player. Positive attitude towards the college and our athletic program is essential. Ability to conduct yourself in a productive, professional manner at all times is required. MacMurray College: invites applications for the position of Football Intern. The package includes room, board and $5000 pro-rated stipend for 10 month position. The coach will have his own position group and recruiting territory, and will be involved in game planning and film work. Knowledge of DSV editing software is an advantage. Ideally we are looking for coaches with backgrounds in Offensive Line or Defensive Secondary though the best applicants will be hired.
