New Mexico State: College of the Desert defensive coordinator Will Martin has accepted the defensive backs job at New Mexico State.

Northern Illinois: Our sources tell us that Wisconsin-Whitewater offensive coordinator Jim Zebrowski has accepted the wide receivers job at Northern Illinois. Zebrowski was the 2009 FootballScoop D3 Coordinator of the Year powered by MUSCLE MILK.

Minnesota Gophers: Jeff Horton (Detroit Lions quarterbacks) has indeed accepted the offensive coordinator position with the Gophers.

Sam Houston State: We hear Scott Parr (West Texas A&M OC), Shelton Gandy (North Texas running backs), Tommy Perry (South Alabama running backs / special teams) and Dan Lounsbury (Texas A&M-Commerce offensive coordinator) have all been considered for the offensive coordinator position. We hear Parr is certainly a finalist.

Tennessee: As we suspected this morning, Darin Hinshaw has been hired at Tennessee.

Akron: Despite an Ohio newspaper report, we are hearing conflicting reports about Luke Getsy joining the staff. Our source tells us now, Getsy is not set to join the staff. We hear he could be joining a different staff as a grad assistant.

Cornell: We continue to hear Cornell is going after a coach that were targeting early on.

Washington Redskins: Sean McCay has accepted the offensive assistant position.

Nicholls State: Our sources near Rox's tell us that BYU offensive assistant Justin Anderson has joined the Nicholls State staff as wide receivers / tight ends coach.

Detroit Lions: Former Carolina Panthers special teams coordinator has accepted the same position with Detroit.

Wisconsin: Wisconsin has extended Bret Bielema's contract through 2015.

Georgia: Todd Grantham will coach linebackers in addition to serving as defensive coordinator. Rodney Garner will coach the front 3. Georgia will add another linebackers coach as well. As we reported last week, Scott Lakatos will coach the defensive backs. It appears the special teams will be split up.

MTSU: It will be interesting to see if Rick Stockstill makes a run at his good friend Tommy West for the defensive coordinator position at Middle Tennessee State.

Minnesota Gophers: FootballScoop has just learned that Tim Brewster has talked with Detroit Lions quarterbacks coach Jeff Horton regarding the offensive coordinator position. We hear Horton will be in Minneapolis as early as today to meet with Brewster.

Tennessee: We reported 2 weeks ago that Derek Dooley interviewed former Memphis wide receivers coach Darin Hinshaw while at LA Tech. We heard Dooley was close to hiring Hinshaw before Dooley ended up accepting the head coaching job at Tennessee. We hear Hinshaw could be the next assistant to join the Tennessee staff.

USC: We hear that USC has won the recruiting battle over defensive backs coach Willie Mack Garza. Tennessee tried their best to keep him, but Garza has accpeted a position at the University of Southern California.

Oakland Raiders: Former NY Giants defensive line coach Mike Waufle will be joining the Raiders' staff to coach the defensive line.

Delta State: E.K. Franks joined the staff as defensive line coach / strength coach. Franks is a former Wisconsin and Kansas State assistant.

Valpo: We hear the co-offensive coordinators and the defensive coordinator will not remain on the new staff. Our source tells us the special teams coordinator has been retained.

East Carolina: We are hearing that East Carolina head coach Ruffin McNeill has interest in Appalachian State defensive coordinator John Wiley.

Oklahoma State: There is a report in the Lubbock Avalanche Journal that former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell will join the Oklahoma State staff in a quality-control role. The report say Harrell will continue to play Canadian League football as well.

Louisville: Our sources tell us former Miami defensive line coach Clint Hurtt will be coaching the defensive line. We hear that defensive line coach Jon Fabris is stepping down. We have heard that Louisville will be looking to hire their linebackers coach after signing day.

East Carolina: Lincoln Riley is the new offensive coordinator at East Carolina.

Oklahoma State: Houston grad assistant Jake Spavital and former Texas Tech grad assistant Brandon Jones will be joining the Oklahoma State staff as grad assistants. Oklahoma State grad assistant Glen Elarbee has joined the Toledo staff as DFO and Walt Bell has joined Larry Fedora's staff at Southern Miss.

Denver Broncos: There is a report that Saskatchewan Rough Riders assistant Bob Wylie will be joining the Broncos' staff as assistant offensive line coach.
