We have compiled all the quotes from coaches that were asked about "Recruiting Rankings" during their Signing Day press conferences. We thought you (coaches) would enjoy reading what your colleagues had to say.

Signing Day Coaches Recap (Part 1)

Pittsburgh Steelers: Our sources tell us Duke wide receivers coach Scottie Montgomery interviewed with Steelers' head coach Mike Tomlin for the vacant wide receivers.

Navarro College (TX): Our sources tell us defensive coordinator Wade Griffin has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Georgetown HS (TX). The defensive coordinator position at Navarro is open.

Campbell University: We hear a couple of interviews have been conducted for the defensive line job. Our source tells a decision is likely early next week.

St. Louis Rams: The Rams officially announced Nolan Cromwell as the new wide receivers coach.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Brandon Hunt accepted the pro scouting coordinator position with the Steelers. He previously served in the Texans' scouting department.

Florida: We hear Arizona Cardinals defensive backs coach Teryl Austin will interview for the Florida defensive coordinator position.

Montana: Our sources tell us Montana is hiring Inoke Breckterfield as defensive line coach. Breckterfield coached the defensive line at Weber State last year and had taken the defensive line job at Portalnd State before being pursued over the last 3 weeks by Montana head coach Robin Pflugrad.

Lehigh: There is a report that Dave Cecchini will be joining the Lehigh staff as offensive coordinator / assistant head coach. Cecchini served as the offensive coordinator with The Citadel this past season.

USC: ESPN's Bruce Feldman reports that Kiffin will consider New Orleans Saints wide receivers coach Curtis Johnson for the offensive coordinator title.

Portland State: Alvin Smith has joined the staff as assistant defensive line coach.

Georgia Tech: Andy McCollum's title at Georgia Tech will be defensive line / recruiting coordinator.

Northwestern State (LA): Former Nicholls State head coach Jay Thomas has joined the staff as defensive line coach.

Stanford: Co-defensive coordinator Ron Lynn will move into the role of director of player development. Vic Fangio, who was hired 2 weeks ago, will serve as the lone defensive coordinator.

The University of Puget Sound: invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach - Offensive Line. The successful candidate will have his own position group and will be involved in game planning and film work. The position is a 10 month appointment with a $1,000 a month stipend in the Fall and $500 a month stipend in the Spring with no benefits. This person will also be expected to recruit, retain, and graduate academically successful student-athletes to the University of Puget Sound.
