Puget Sound: We have learned that defensive coordinator Jared McNeilly will not remain with the new coaching staff at UPS.

Florida State: We hear Dartmouth University inside linebackers coach Joe Scola has accepted a grad assistant job at Florida State.

Sam Houston State: We are hearing that Arkansas-Monticello offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Derek Warehime has accepted the offensive line job at Sam Houston State.

Indiana: We have just learned that Indiana has hired Carmel HS head coach Mo Moriarity for the offensive line position.

VMI: We hear San Jose State grad assistant Mayur Chaudhari accepted the safeties job at VMI.

LA Tech: We hear Zach Yenser will be joining the LA Tech staff as an offensive grad assistant. Yenser worked as a grad assistant at Troy for Tony Franklin.

Whittier College: We hear Greg Shammel has been offered the offensive coordinator job at Whittier College.

East Carolina: We hear former defensive line coach Cary Godette has joined the ECU staff in an administrative role.

University of Puget Sound: invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach (3 available). The successful candidate will have his own position group (to be decided later) and will be involved in game planning and film work. The position is a 9 month part-time entry level position with salary comparable to a high school stipend (no benefits). This person will also be expected to help recruit, retain, and graduate academically successful student-athletes to the University of Puget Sound. Indianapolis Colts: Former Kansas State head coach Ron Prince accepted the assistant offensive line job with the Colts. Pete Metzelaars moves from assistant offensive line coach to offensive line coach.

Georgia: Warren Belin will coach the kickoff team. Bryan McClendon will coach the punt return unit. Tony Ball will continue to handle the kickoff-return team. John Lilly will coordinate the special teams meeting and practice schedules. Lilly will also coach the punt team.

University of Minnesota: We are hearing that Hamline University offensive line coach Daryl Agpalsa will be joining the Gophers' coaching staff as the offensive grad assistant.

University of San Diego: Quarterbacks coach Tanner Engstrand will now oversee the passing game. Former San Diego player Joe Staab has joined the staff as a defensive assistant.

Monday: Coaches Quick Hits

Rice: Illinois State athletic director Sheahon Zenger, UCLA senior associate AD for external affairs Ross Bjork, Buffalo AD Warde Manuel, Saint Louis AD Chris May, and Bowling Greene AD Greg Christopher, FAU AD Craig Angelos, and Sam Houston State AD Bobby Williams Jr. appear to be the candidates that will interview or have already interviewed for the Rice University athletics director position.
