Monday: Coaches Quick Hits

Tulane: Former Nebraska and NFL player Doug Colman has been hired to coach the linebackers at Tulane. We hear Colman was working with the Nebraska program in some capacity. Defensive coordinator Steve Stanard will now coach the defensive line.

Yale University: Former Furman video coordinator Chris Ball accepted the same position at Yale University.

Earlham College: We have learned that former McKendree University assistant Patrick Baker has joined the Earlham staff as defensive backs coach. Also, special teams coordinator / offensive line coach Matt Macy has added the assistant head coach title.

Ohio University: We are trying to get further confirmation, but it appears former Buffalo defensive coordinator Fred Reed will be joining the Ohio University coaching staff as cornerbacks coach.

Old Dominion: We are hearing former Buffalo special teams coordinator / corners coach Jarod Dodson has joined the Old Dominion staff as DFO.

Columbia University: Our sources tell us that Merchant Marine director of football operations John Cavalier has joined the Columbia staff as DFO.

Wake Forest: We are hearing that Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe has hired former Wake Forest running back Chris Barclay as "recruiting assistant." We are also hearing that Dominic Anderson will move into the defensive GA position. Barcaly was the 2005 ACC Player of the Year.

Bowling Green: Our sources tell us Ian Pace accepted the offensive GA position at Bowling Green. Pace is a former player at Fordham (2005-08) and worked in academics at Bowling Green this past season.

Garden City Community College: Former Northern Colorado quarterbacks coach Pete Darnell is the new offensive coordinator at Garden City CC.
