Washington State: Washington State grad assistant Ryan Smaha accepted a position overseas with the Swarco Raiders organization. We hear Sheldon Cross will serve as the offensive GA and Chad Eaton will be taking over in the summer for Jason Belford on the defensive side of the ball at Wazzu.

Humboldt State: Our sources tell us that Mendocino College defensive coordinator Mike Mari has accepted the offensive line job at Humboldt State University.

Capital University: We have just learned that Austin Peay University defensive grad assistant Chad Creamer has accepted the defensive backs job at Capital University.

Ohio State: Former Ohio State player Marcus Freeman joined the staff as a grad assistant.

Franklin College: Franklin College has completed the hiring for their staff. Aarik Gault, former assistant at Mount Union, will be the linebackers coach. Former Ridge View HS (SC) assistant Brandon Wright will be the defensive intern working with the cornerbacks. Former Fishers HS (IN) assistant Ryan McDonald will be a volunteer assistant working with the offensive line.

High School Scoop

Des Moines Blaze: Former Cornell College defensive coordinator Adam Bentz has joined the staff as defensive coordinator. He will also head up the special teams units.
