Wednesday: Coaches Quick Hits

Florida Tuskers (UFL): Former University of Florida / NY Giants wide receiver Ike Hilliard has accepted the wide receivers job with the Tuskers. Kurt Beathard (running backs), Robert McFarland (tight ends), Jerry Sisemore (offensive line assistant), and James MacPherson (offensive quality control) all joined the staff. Beathard coached the quarterbacks at Illinois last season. McFarland last served as the offensive line coach / associate head coach on Gene Chizik's staff at Iowa State. MacPherson is former standout player at Wake Forest and in the Arena League.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (NY): Brian Surace has accepted the offensive coordinator job at RPI.

Pacific University (Oregon): Seeking assistant coach (Defensive Line). This is a part-time position in the development of a new football program at a Division III private institution. This position includes a stipend (no medical, housing, or education benefits provided) and consists of the following job duties: coaching Defensive Line, practice planning, scouting, video analysis, skill and team instruction, all phases of recruiting and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Texas A&M: Former Texas A&M grad assistant Jasxon Appel accepted an assistant coaching job at Clear Falls HS (TX).

Edmonton Eskimos: Wayne "Ace" Powell, Ross Cammalleri, Ted White, Marco Iedaluca, and Stu Lang will all serve as guest coaches for the Eskimos during training camp.

Morehead State University: Located in Morehead, Kentucky and is a member of the Pioneer Football League has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Part-Time Offensive Assistant. Position includes coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties assigned by Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Wide receiver playing or coaching experience preferred. Widener University: Our sources tell us that former NFL defensive back Roosevelt Williams accepted the cornerbacks job at Widener University. Williams most recently coach the defensive backs at Clark University in Atlanta, GA. He is a former 2nd round draft choice of the Chicago Bears in 2002.
