Kansas: Kansas AD Lew Perkins has announced that he will be retiring on September 4, 2011.

Beloit College (WI): Our sources have informed us that former Bucknell running backs coach Sam Perryman has accepted the defensive line position at Beloit College. Perryman served as a Penn State grad assistant before joining the Bucknell staff. Also, offensive coordinator Ethan Pole has added the title of assistant head coach. Inside linebackers coach Mike Wilson will now serve as the defensive coordinator.

West Virginia Wesleyan College is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant coaching position. This candidate who is selected will be the varsity defensive backfield coach and have his own recruiting area. Compensation includes all tuition, meals, housing, and a stipend. This person must be admitted to a Graduate program at West Virginia Wesleyan. The successful candidate needs a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or better and a qualifying test score. Only those candidates who coached defensive backs or who played defensive back at the college level will be considered. University of New Haven (CT): Division II, NE-10. Seeking qualified applicants for an assistant defensive backs position. You will assist current secondary coach, primarily working with safeties. This position reports to the Head Football Coach and duties include coaching, recruiting and fundraising. Additional duties may be assigned. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and playing experience at the collegiate level. Preference will be given to applicants with experience recruiting in the northeast and/or playing defensive back. Compensation is a stipend of $10,000. There is no housing, no board. Rutgers: Grad assistant Randy Trivers accepted the head coaching job at Leesburg HS (FL). Trivers worked with the Rutgers' running backs.

Mississippi State: Our sources tell us Valdosta State tight ends coach Ryan Mcnamara joined Dan Mullen's staff at Mississippi State as the defensive quality control.

Gardner-Webb: We heard UAB grad assistant Kris King joined the Gardner-Webb coaching staff.

West Virgina: WVU assistants will make $1.925 million this year. New tight ends coach Dave McMichael will earn $200,000. Assistants Chris Beatty and Lonnie Galloway have each received $75,000 raises. None of the other assistant received raises this off-season. The eight returning coaches have 2-year rollover deals. All nine assistants are making at least $200,000.

West Virginia: Houston Dynamo (Major League Soccer franchise) president Oliver Luck will be named AD at West Virginia.

Liberty: Former Liberty player Manny Rojas has joined the coaching staff as a defensive / special teams assistant. Rojas was already serving as an assistant strength coach within the program.

Itawamba Community College (MS): Head coach Jon Williams has complete his coaching staff. We have reported several of the hires over the past few weeks. Here is a recap: Sean Cannon (AHC/DC), Gabe Fertitta (OC), Tyrone Fox (DB), Alex Atkins (OL), and Charlie Wilburn (DL). Atkins, a former tight ends coach at UT-Martin comes to ICC from Marshall where he served as the offensive grad assistant.

Jacksonville State: Video coordinator Errol Seaver accepted a position with the Big 12 Conference.
