Duquesne University: an FCS member of the Northeast Conference is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. This is a full-time position with a benefits package reporting to the Head Football Coach. Responsibilities include coaching, practice and game preparation, recruiting, student-athlete development, fundraising, video analysis and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director. Qualifications include a Bachelors degree, Masters preferred and a background in coaching college football with successful experience in recruiting, camps, clinics and community service. Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to coach an offensive or defensive skill position, possess strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills and have a commitment to education of the student-athlete. Knowledge of Duquesne, NCAA and NEC rules and regulations are expected. Applicantsmust also be willing to contribute actively to the University Mission and to respect the Spiritan Catholic identity of Duquesne University. Occidental College: Fort Dale Academy (AL) assistant Stephen Sorrells has accepted the offensive line job at Occidental College. Sorrells served as the offensive line coach on the Faulkner University staff in 2006 & 2007.

Troy University: We hear that former Millsaps College linebackers coach Brett Borden accepted the defensive GA position at Troy, working with the defensive backs.

Harding University: Riverview HS assistant Luke Collins accepted the wide receivers job at Harding University. Also, grad assistant Scott Symons has been promoted to defensive back coach / recruiting coordinator.

Lamar University: Billy Tubbs is stepping down as AD to become a special consultant to the university president. Larry Tidwell, the head women's basketball coach, will serve as the interim AD.
