Boise State: Bob Gregory will coach the linebackers. When Gregory was hired, Boise State had announced his title would be "defensive assistant." Jeff Choate moves from linebackers to nickel backs. Choate also coaches the Boise State special teams.
Wilmington College: Todd Murgatroyd has accepted the offensive line / recruiting coordinator job. He previously served as the assistant offensive line coach at Otterbein College.
Post University: is looking for two (2) candidates for Volunteer assistant football coaches, one (1) offense and one (1) defense. no salary or medical benefits offered. Other team benefits available within the program. Responsibilities: Post University is a NCAA Division II institution and a member of the CACC Conference. The Sprint Football Team is not a member of the NCAA or the CACC Conference. Instead the team and program are governed by the CSFL (Collegiate Sprint Football League). Responsibilitiesinclude, but are not limited to: Assist the head coach with the organization and direction of the Sprint football program. Specific responsibilities include identification of and recruitment of athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; regular practice sessions and game preparation; and assisting with the management of equipment, team travel, public/alumni relations and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the athletics program. The successful candidate must possess and will demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, good work ethic and self-motivation, the ability and willingness to be a positive role model, department member and representative of the College. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree preferred. Playing and/or coaching experience preferred, preferably at the college level. Recruiting experience preferred. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and knowledge of football. UT-Martin: Riverdale HS (TN) assistant Jordan Hankins recently accepted the running backs / director of strength & conditioning job at UT-Martin.
Dickinson College: Dickenson College assistants Kory David (linebacker coach, strength and conditioning coordinator, and special teams coordinator) and Ian Mitchell (intern QB coach) are both serving internships with the Philadelphia Eagles during the preseason.
Texas A&M: Indiana State offensive coordinator Troy Walters has accepted the wide receivers job at Texas A&M. Walters played college football at Stanford.
Utah State: Head coach Gary Anderson will coach the defensive tackles this season.
Charleston University (WV): Our sources tell us that Charleston University defensive backs coach Kasey Teegardin had been promoted to defensive coordinator.
Marietta College: Former St. Lawrence University (NY) offensive coordinator Charles Leierer accepted the offensive line job at Marietta College.
Texas A&M: We have now confirmed that Steve Kragthorpe is stepping down.
Saint Anselm College: seeking one full time football intern. The candidate should be on the east coast, or have east coast ties, and be willing to take the position and start by August 1st. The internship program is designed to provide coaches with a rich blend of coaching and administrative experience at a competitive NCAA, Division II private college. This, administrative, part-time position includes a stipend of $8,000 and the following job duties: coaching their own position (Skill), practice planning, scouting, video analysis, skill and team instruction, all phases of recruiting and responsibilities as assigned by the head coach. Coaching and/or playing experience preferred. Minority applications are strongly encouraged. Meals are included but NO IMMEDIATE LODGING - but may become a POSSIBILITY at a later date. Texas A&M: TexAgs.com is reporting that wide receivers coach Steve Kragthorpe is stepping down. We had heard last week that this might occur, but we confirmed Kragthorpe was in Austin at the Texas High School convention with other A&M coaches and a decision hadn't been finalized. Now, it appears Kragthorpe does plan to step down. More on this later on...
West Georgia: Special teams coordinator / defensive backs coach James Colzie begins a three-week internship this week with the Kansas City Chiefs.
University of Delaware: Our sources tell us that running backs coach Aaron Harris has left the staff to accept a high school position in Florida. Also, our sources tell us Delaware Valley assistant Lyle Hemphill has joined the staff as cornerbacks coach.
North Texas: We hear Fort Hayes State offensive line coach Jeff Bryant did indeed accept the offensive line job on Todd Dodge's staff at North Texas. Bryant served as a grad assistant at North Texas before joining the Fort Hays State coaching staff.
