Clemson: Clemson University has released detail of Dabo Swinney's new contract today. Swinney's new deal guarantees $1.75 million per year through the next 5 years. If Clemson wins the ACC, Swinney would get a raise to the average of the top 7 highest-paid coaches in the ACC. If Clemson earns a trip to the ACC championship game, Swinney would get an additional $37,500 bonus. If the Tigers were to win the national championship, he would receive an extra $150,000.

East Carolina: We have learned that East Carolina head coach Ruffin McNeill has hired a new assistant coach from outside the program. More on this to come...

Northern Illinois: FootballScoop has learned that former Northern Illinois player, Melvin Rice, has accepted the defensive grad assistant job at Northern Illinois. Former Northwestern player Joe Tripodi is serving as the offensive GA.

Tennessee Titans: We are hearing that quarterbacks coach Craig Johnson will now serve as the assistant head coach / running backs coach. We hear offensive assistant Dowell Loggains has been promoted to quarterbacks coach / passing game coordinator.

Western New England College: is seeking applications for the open position of full-time Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator. This individual is responsible for assisting with the overall operation of the varsity football program working under the direction of the Head Football Coach. This position will also serve as the recruiting coordinator, Work Study program supervisor, and will also assist with the program's community service projects along with other duties to be assigned. Masters degree is preferred, Bachelor's degree required and need at least 3 years of collegiate coaching experience. Kansas City Chiefs: Head coach Todd Haley has announced that new offensive coordinator Charlie Weis will call most of the plays. Haley called the plays in 2009.

Savannah State University: Livingstone College defensive line coach / strength coach Corey McCloud has joined the Savannah State staff as defensive line coach. Former Winston-Salem State offensive line coach Carl Funderburk has been hired as offensive line coach. Also, Hinds CC defensive line coach Dwayne Curry has been hired as defensive line coach.

Charleston Southern: FootballScoop has just learned that former Miami (FL) and Georgia Tech offensive coordinator Patrick Nix has accepted the wide receivers / passing game coordinator job at Charleston Southern.

MTSU: Special teams coordinator / cornerbacks coach Steve Ellis begins an internship with the Buffalo Bills starting today. He will work with the Bills' defensive backs and special teams. Ellis will return to Murfreesboro on August 4th, the day before MTSU begins camp.

Stevenson University: Juniata College defensive backs coach Joe Battaglia accepted the linebackers / recruiting coordinator job at Stevenson University.
