FBS Staff Tracker: The 2020-21 FBS Staff Tracker page, where you can see how each new head coach is filling their staff, is up and running.

Oregon: New defensive coordinator Tim DeRuyter signed a 3-year deal that will pay him $825,000 per year, according to contract details obtained by The Oregonian. That salary is equal to what DeRuyter earned at Cal and below the $865,000 Oregon paid Andy Avalos.

BYU: BYU has hired Darrell Funk as offensive line coach. Funk previously served in the same post at UTSA. He replaces Eric Mateos, who left to join Jeff Grimes at Baylor.

Missouri: AD Jim Sterk has released a statement saying he is not a candidate for the UCF AD job. Okay then.

UAB: Tennessee defensive grad assistant Tanner Luker has accepted a defensive analyst position at UAB sources tell FootballScoop.

Capital (D-III - OH): Source tells FootballScoop D'Gary Wallace is expected to join the staff at Capital.

Fairmont State (D-II - WV): Defensive line Ramal Faunteroy has resigned and is seeking a new opportunity. Coach Faunteroy previously coached at Seton Hill, Furman and Shepherd Universities.

Georgia: Athletic director Josh Brooks will earn approximately $700,000 in his first year of a 4 new four-year agreement which the AJC reports totals $3.6 million total.

Big Ten: As of right now, the Big Ten is planning on a full-12 game schedule (including some premier non-conference games) for each team in 2021. Here's the schedule and the details.

Louisville: Charlotte tight ends coach Cody Woodiel is joining the staff in a quality control role and will work with the offensive line, per folks at The Athletic.

Tennessee: Sources tell FootballScoop Josh Heupel is adding a director of competition development at Tennessee.

Charlotte: Joe Cox is expected to join the staff as tight ends coach after previously coaching the wide receivers at South Carolina and Colorado State, Pete Thamel tweets.

Northwest Missouri State (D-II): Roberto Davis will coach the running backs coach and Zach Martin will work with the wide receivers. Both guys worked in graduate assistant roles for the program previously and played their college ball for the program. Davis spent last season on the coaching staff at Wayne State (D-II - NE) and Martin was a part-time assistant with the Bearcats last season.

Tennessee: Sources tell FootballScoop Kelsey Pope is joining Josh Heupel's staff.

Auburn: San Diego State graduate assistant Patrick Kugler, who worked with the Aztec offensive line last season, has joined the Auburn staff in a support role.

Missouri Southern State (D-II): MSSU has found their new head coach.

Penn State: Ty Howle, a former Penn State letterman on the offensive line from 2009-13 that has been working with the program as an offensive analyst, is being elevated to tight ends coach.

Notre Dame: The program has announced the promotion of Chris O'Leary to defensive backs coach / safeties, here's our piece from earlier this week where broke the news of the move.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Weber State (FCS - UT) running backs coach is leaving after seven years with the program to be an offensive assistant on Urban Meyer's staff.

Washington Football Team: Jim Hostler is moving from wide receivers coach to senior offensive assistant, and Drew Terrell is taking over as the wide receivers coach after serving as the assistant wide receivers coach last year.

Virginia State (D-II): Virginia State University is looking for a game week 2 September 11th 2021. We don't have an issue with traveling. Please reach out to Head Coach Reggie Barlow at rbarlow@vsu.edu.

South Carolina: As we reported earlier this week, the Gamecocks have now formally announced Montario Hardesty as running backs coach.

Denver Broncos: Akron tight ends & tackles coach Chris Cook has accepted an offensive quality control position with the Broncos.

Louisville: Yesterday we reported Louisville defensive coordinator Bryan Brown was Tennessee's target for their same role; but he chose to remain at Louisville. Louisville has announced Brown is adding the associate head coach title along with a nice raise.

LSU: Assistant director of player personnel Collin D'Angelo is moving to an offensive analyst role for the team.

Montana State-Northern (NAIA): Montana State University-Northern is seeking applicants for the position of assistant football coach for defense (Defensive Backs) immediately for the Spring 2021 season. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing/coaching on the defensive side of the ball, preferably in the defensive backfield. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, a recruiting area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach/defensive coordinator. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. This is a restricted earnings position, and pay will be discussed during the interview process. Tennessee: An update on Tennessee’s search for their next defensive coordinator.

Masters of Sports Administration: Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Education.

South Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop Shane Beamer is adding another former FCS coordinator to his staff.

Wofford (FCS - SC): Paul Holmes has been named the new defensive backs coach. Holmes joined the program in 2019 as an analyst, and spent last season as the assistant defensive backs coach.

Recruiting: The 2021 cycle has come and gone, and one FBS program did not sign a single high school player.

Western Kentucky: Former Illinois secondary coach Keynodo "Key" Hudson is expected to become the new defensive pass game coordinator for the Hilltoppers, Bruce Feldman tweets.

A Sign of Things to Come?: In the past six weeks, Western Kentucky has basically annexed all the key personnel from FCS’s top passing offense.
