Penn State: Source tells FootballScoop South Carolina defensive line coach John Scott Jr. is a strong candidate for the same role at Penn State. James Franklin is expected to make a hire soon. Scott has coached defensive line at South Carolina, Arkansas, with the New York Jets, at Texas Tech and more.

UCF: Source tells FootballScoop UCF has identified the person they plan to hire for their special teams quality control role.

Kennesaw State (FCS - GA): Safeties coach Danny Verpaele will be promoted to defensive coordinator source tells FootballScoop. Prior to coming to Kennesaw before this past season, Verpaele had served as defensive coordinator at Valdosta State.

Wake Forest: Director of Recruiting Greg Jones has been promoted to Linebackers Coach. Jones has been on the Wake Forest staff for 4 seasons as a graduate assistant, offensive analyst, and director of recruiting.

Hawaii: Per source, Missouri State (FCS) running backs coach / special teams coordinator Trent Figg is joining Todd Graham's staff.

Eastern Illinois (FCS): Per source, Eastern Illinois plans to hire Cliff Odom as corners coach. Odom is currently serving as the special teams analyst at UCF. He has had previous stops at Stetson, Missouri, and TCU, after beginning his career in the Texas high school ranks.

North Carolina: Source tells FootballScoop Mack Brown has a small list of finalists from which he plans to make a hire for his open tight ends position.

Rutgers: Greg Schiano is adding a former FCS head coach to his staff, per source.

Briar Cliff (NAIA - IA): Briar Cliff University is looking to hire an offensive graduate assistant to coach the running backs. Candidates must gain acceptance into graduate school and have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.8. Compensation includes a $500 stipend for 10 months, free tuition, meals, and affordable on-campus housing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruiting, film breakdown (HUDL), running positional meetings, and any other duties assigned by the head coach or offensive coordinator. Ideal candidate will have 4 years of collegiate playing experience. Expected start date is March 1 or earlier. Rochester Community and Technical College (JC - MN): Rochester Community and Technical College (JC – MN): Rochester Community & Technical College is looking to hire three position coaches (Wide Receivers, Offensive Line, and Defensive Backs). Air Raid Offense, Multiple Defense. Special Teams Coordinator is a possibility for the right candidate. These are part-time temporary positions that pay an in-season stipend. Responsibilities include: coaching position group, running position meetings, Hudl input, strength & conditioning duties, and recruiting obligations. Indiana State (FCS): Louisville defensive analyst David Stuckman is joining the staff as secondary coach and Adam Dennison will handle football operations, source tells FootballScoop.

Ole Miss: John Miller has been tabbed as associate athletic director for football operations and Devin Bush Sr. has been named director of football recruiting for the Rebels. Lane Kiffin has also filled eight analyst roles with the hires of Indiana State (FCS) wide receivers coach Joe Hastings (senior player personnel analyst), former FAU player development coach Davis Merritt (senior player personnel analyst), and the following guys have joined the staff as player personnel analysts; FAU assistant director of player development DP Eyman, former UMass defensive graduate assistant Alex Garwig, Auburn special teams analyst Doug Goodwin, former Vikings intern and NFL veteran offensive lineman Phil Loadholt, former FAU assistant director of player development, and coaching veteran Monte Kiffin.

Carolina Panthers: Baylor associate AD for football operations Sean Padden has joined the Panthers as vice president of football operations. Padden is well known for his footrace with a tackling dummy who got revenge on him, leading to a rematch and an appearance on The Tonight Show.

Kansas: Bethel (NAIA - TN) offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Kevin Wewers is joining the Jayhawks staff, per source.

Rutgers: The program is adding Princeton (FCS - NJ) running backs coach Jamel Mutunga as an offensive quality control coach, per Shawn Brown of 247.

Furman (FCS - SC): Chad Byers, who previously served as a defensive quality control coach for the program before taking a graduate assistant position at Marshall this past season, has been hired to coach the outside linebackers.

Texas Tech: LSU lead defensive analyst Kevin Cosgrove is expected to join the Red Raiders staff as linebackers coach, Ross Dellenger tweets. Before joining the LSU staff, Cosgrove had served as the defensive coordinator at New Mexico for four seasons, and also previously served as defensive coordinator at Wisconsin for nine seasons under Barry Alvarez as well as coordinator roles at Nebraska, Minnesota and Akron.

Clemson: With a total of nine assistants at or above the half-million dollar mark in annual salary, Dabo Swinney will have the highest paid coaching staff in college football entering 2020.

Cleveland Browns: 49ers pass rush specialist coach Chris Kiffin is leaving to join the Browns as defensive line coach, Alex Marvez tweets.

San Francisco 49ers: Bills assistant defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton will be taking a position on staff, Alex Marvez tweets.

Auburn: West Virginia outside linebackers coach Al Pogue is heading to join the Auburn staff, per Jay Tate.

Nebraska: The following assistants have received one-year extensions; Erik Chinander (DC), Mario Verduzco (QBs), Sean Beckton (TEs), Barrett Ruud (ILBs), Tony Tuioti (DL) and Zach Duval (strength and conditioning). Last month extensions and raises were announced for secondary coach Travis Fisher ($450k), running backs coach / recruiting coordinator Ryan Held ($400k), and offensive line coach / run game coordinator Greg Austin ($500k). Every Huskers assistant's deal now runs through December 31, 2021 except for new hire Mike Dawson (OLBs) whose deal runs through March 2022.

Albany State (D-II - GA): Albany State University, a Division II institution in Albany, GA, has an IMMEDIATE opening for a restricted earnings Quarterbacks Coach. Salary is 13K, no housing, meals, or benefits. This is a 10 month contract. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, coaching your own position, game planning, film breakdown, and recruiting. Requirements are a bachelors degree, prior experience coaching or playing the Quarterback position, and the ability to pass a background check. Lane (D-II - TN): Lane College is seeking qualified applicants to fill their defensive coordinator position. Interested candidates please email resume and references to head coach Vyron Brown at vbrown@lanecollege.edu.

Nebraska: New offensive coordinator / wide receivers coach Matt Lubick has a two-year deal worth $500,000 per season.

Montana State-Northern (NAIA): Rich Stubler, who has spent 50 years in the coaching profession, is being added as the team's defensive coordinator. Stubler spent the past 25 years in the CFL as a coordinator and head coach with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Edmonton Eskimos, Toronto Argonauts, Calgary Stampeders, and the BC Lions and he has previous college coaching stops at Colorado, Colorado State, SMU, New Mexico State, and Oregon.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles announced the additions of Rich Scangarello (senior offensive analyst), Press Taylor (passing game coordinator / QBs), Matt Burke (run game coordinator / defensive line), Marquand Manuel (DBs), Aaron Moorehead (WRs), Andrew Breiner (pass game analyst), TJ Paganetti (assistant run game coordinator / assistant RBs coach), Dino Vasso (assistant coordinator / defense).

Tennessee: Former Notre Dame offensive coordinator Chip Long is being hired as an offensive analyst with the Vols, John Brice tweets.

Lock Haven (D-II - PA): Lock Haven has a season position available. Position pays $11,500 for the year. The job includes no benefits or housing. It runs from August - May 1st. If interested, please apply via this link. No phone calls please. Review of applicants will begin immediately.

West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): Per source, West Virginia Wesleyan has completed their staff as follows; Allen Gant, most recently at Slippery Rock (D-II - PA), will take over as defensive coordinator. Mike Maloney, formerly at Marshall, will coach the offensive line and take over as recruiting coordinator. Dominic Bornman, most recently at Illinois College, will take over as wide receivers coach and coordinate strength & conditioning, quarterbacks coach Cortney Roberts is being promoted to offensive coordinator, and Marcus Spearman is adding the role of DFO. Dwayne Martin will continue in his role as assistant head coach / special teams coordinator / defensive backs coach.

Western Carolina (FCS - NC): Western Carolina University is looking for an offensive volunteer assistant coach. This position is available to those interested in gaining experience and knowledge of the profession. The position will include, but is not limited to: coaching on the field and in the meeting room, possible recruiting area, video editing, breakdown film duties, direct scout team, data input, weekly reports, and other duties assigned by the head coach, recruiting coordinator and offensive coordinator. Ideal candidates are hungry, energetic, have leadership qualities, dependable, driven, passionate, have public speaking abilities, organized and have knowledge in XOS/video editing, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, graphic design, and other computer skills. This is strictly a Volunteer Position. No stipends, meals, housing, or benefits will be included. All interested persons are encouraged to apply. The position is open until filled. Harvard (FCS - MA): Harvard is looking to fill an offensive and defensive quality control position, with additional responsibilities of operations and recruiting support. This is an entry level or above position. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, college football experience with strong work ethic, interpersonal skills, digital skills, and preferably knowledge of XOS. Dallas Cowboys: Rob Davis, the director of player development with the Green Bay Packers from 2008-17, has joined the Mike McCarthy's Cowboys staff as assistant head coach, according to multiple reports.

Youngstown State (FCS - OH): Doug Phillips, the running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Cincinnati, is expected to become the new head coach of the Penguins, per source. More on that here.

Indiana: Per source, Jacksonville State (FCS - AL) defensive graduate assistant Seth McDonald has joined the Hoosiers in the same capacity. McDonald previously played under IU defensive coordinator Kane Wommack at Eastern Illinois.

Louisiana Lafayette: Billy Napier losing two staffers to Power 5 opportunities.

Greensboro (D-III - NC): Sul Ross State (D-III - TX) graduate assistant Jeremy Stoessner has accepted a position on the Greensboro staff.
