Colorado State: Ball State offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Joey Lynch is joining the Colorado State staff in a similar capacity, sources tell FootballScoop. More here.

UNLV: Marcus Arroyo is bringing Trey Watson (assistant coach) and Matt Leitch (recruiting coordinator) with him from Oregon, sources tell FootballScoop.

Penn State: Former Boston College offensive line coach Phil Trautwein has been announced to the same post at Penn State.

Billy Napier: One day after ULL announced an extension with Billy Napier, Brett McMurphy reports that Napier won't be involved in Mississippi State's process.

Arkansas: Source tells FootballScoop Kentucky defensive line coach Derrick Leblanc is expected to join the Arkansas staff in the same capacity.

Old Dominion: Ricky Rahne has announced 4 hires: Kirk Campbell (OC/QBs), Kevin Smith (STC/OLB), Tony Lucas (RBs) and Kevin Reihner (OL). Campbell was an offensive analyst with Rahne at Penn State. Smith was a defensive grad assistant at Penn State. Reihner was an offensive grad assistant at Penn State and Lucas coached running backs at Elon.

Miami (FL): SMU offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee is expected to become the new offensive coordinator for Manny Diaz at Miami, per reports. We can confirm the news and add that he is expected to bring another staffer with him.

Ole Miss: Associate AD for player personnel Tyler Siskey will not be part of Lane Kiffin's staff. Siskey, who previously served as Nick Saban's director of player personnel and has coaching experience as well, was selected as the FootballScoop Player Personnel Director of the Year in 2013. Siskey returned to Ole Miss in 2018 after coaching receivers and serving as recruiting coordinator at South Alabama for three seasons.

Kentucky: Kentucky has an offensive line graduate assistant position that must be filled immediately. Must be able to get admitted to school. Applicants should email resume/references to kentuckyfootball@uky.edu.

Minnesota Vikings: Owner Mark Wilf has released the following statement on head coach Mike Zimmer and GM Rick Spielman: "We value Mike and Rick’s leadership and we have every intent of Mike continuing as the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings and Rick leading our football operations, next year and beyond.” The statement comes on the heels of a report that the Vikings may be considering a change following Wild Card weekend.

Colorado State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Steve Addazio has his defensive coordinator, and is also bringing a member of his Boston College staff west to join him in Fort Collins. See the details on both additions here.

Colorado School of Mines (D-II): Colorado School of Mines has a coaching position available working with the defensive backs. Salary commensurate with experience and includes full benefits package. Responsibilities include coaching the secondary and PAT / FG Block unit. Recruiting experience at the college level is required. Rhode Island (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop that Holy Cross (FCS - MA) offensive coordinator Patrick Murphy is expected to join the Rhode Island staff in the same capacity.

Arkansas: Kentucky defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc is a strong candidate for the Razorbacks defensive line job, per 247. We can confirm.

Rutgers: Sean Gleeson and Rutgers are finalizing a three-year deal to make him the new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, per reports.

Valparaiso (FCS - IN): Valparaiso University is looking for a Director of Player Personnel. This position will work directly with the Head Coach and Director of Football Operations. Position duties include maintaining a large database of prospective student-athletes, film evaluation, prospect identification, assists the football staff with the planning, organization, and execution of all recruiting functions, including both official and unofficial visits. This is a Volunteer Position, with potential stipend. Local applicants are encouraged to apply, position will begin immediately. Matt Rhule: The sweepstakes for the most coveted coach on the market has just begun, and already it may be down to one of two choices.

Mississippi State: The search is on, our update at Mississippi State.

Eastern Kentucky (FCS): Former head coach Mark Elder has been named head coach at Cincinnati Moeller HS (OH).

Cal Poly (FCS): Beau Baldwin has added Cal quality control coach Erik Meyer (QBs) and Calgary Stampeders (CFL) linebackers coach JC Sherritt to his staff. Josh Letuligasenoa, who coached the outside linebackers last fall is being retained as a defensive assistant. They join Paul Wulff (OL / run game coordinator), Nick Edwards (OC / WRs), Casey Petree (TEs / co-STC) and Aristotle Thompson (RBs / recruiting coordinator / assistant HC) who have been announced already.

Valparaiso (FCS - IN):Valparaiso University is looking for an intern on the defensive side of the ball. This position is available to those aspiring to get into the coaching profession. Position includes, but is not limited to: coaching own position, recruiting assigned area, video editing/coordinating, film sharing, manage and direct scout team, weekly data input, weekly reports, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Ideal candidates are organized and have knowledge in Hudl/video editing, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other computer skills. This is a Volunteer Position, with potential stipend. Cal: Bill Musgrave has been announced as the new offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. Musgrave previously spent 20 seasons in the NFL (11 of those as offensive coordinator) with Oakland, Philadelphia, Carolina, Jacksonville, Washington, Atlanta, Minnesota, and Denver.

Minnesota: The program has now announced the addition of Mike Sanford Jr. as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach and that wide receivers coach Matt Simon has also added the co-offensive coordinator title.

Houston: West Virginia recruiting coordinator Casey Smithson, who had been a coordinator in the recruiting office since 2014, has accepted a position in the recruiting office at Houston per 247.

Penn State: Boston College offensive line coach Phil Trautwein is a strong candidate for the same role at Penn State source tells FootballScoop. Pete Thamel has tweeted the same.

Old Dominion: Per source, Blake Seiler will be the defensive coordinator on Ricky Rahne's staff. Seiler spent last season coaching the inside linebackers at West Virginia and prior to that spent ten seasons on the Kansas State staff, including as the defensive coordinator in 2018.

Minnesota Vikings: Why Sunday's Wild Card game at New Orleans could be pivotal for the Vikings' coaching staff.

Georgia Southern: Tom Kleinlein has resigned from the director of athletics position, per WJCL. Adam Rittenberg adds Kleinlein is expected to join the Ole Miss athletics staff.

Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University is looking for a home game on September 12, 2020. Will travel in 2021 with the corresponding date as well. Please contact head coach Josh Anderson at josh.anderson@dsu.edu.

Louisiana Tech: Co-offensive coordinator / inside receivers coach Joe Sloan is expected to be promoted to offensive coordinator and move to quarterbacks, Bruce Feldman tweets.

Mississippi State: Athletic director John Cohen will hold a noon (CST) press conference today on SEC Network and has announced that a national search is underway for the next head coach and that associate head coach Tony Hughes will serve as interim head coach.

Minnesota: Mike Sanford, Jr., will be the offensive coordinator at Minnesota, tweets Pete Thamel. Sanford spent 2019 as the offensive coordinator at Utah State and also coordinated offenses previously for Boise State and Notre Dame. Thamel adds that Gophers wide receivers coach Matt Simon is being promoted to co-offensive coordinator. Simon had an impressive play calling debut against the Auburn defense in the bowl game, racking up nearly 500 yards in a win.

Louisburg (JC - NC): Louisburg College, a private junior college located outside of Raleigh, North Carolina, has an opening for an assistant coach. This is a 10 month position that will begin on January 15th with a compensation of 5K + Room & Board. Benefits include a comprehensive medical plan, and optional participation in a matched retirement plan along with optional dental and vision plans. Rutgers: Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Sean Gleeson is a strong candidate for the offensive coordinator job on Greg Schiano's staff Bruce Feldman tweets. We've heard the same, and that Schiano has continued to vet a few other guys as well.

Mississippi State: Joe Moorhead has been let go after two seasons, Brett McMurphy tweets.

Midwestern State (D-II - TX): Midwestern State University is currently seeking an offensive graduate assistant football coach. The position includes a stipend, housing, and tuition assistance for graduate school. Coaching responsibilities to include; but not limited to, tight ends or wide receivers. Experience playing and coaching tight ends or wide receivers is preferred. Responsibilities include all aspects of the football program including; but not limited to, video editing, social media, practice organization, contest preparation, recruitment weekends, student athlete development, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. UCF: Iowa State tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator Alex Golesh is expected to become the next offensive coordinator at UCF, according to the Des Moines Register. Update> Sources tell FootballScoop Golesh is expected to join the staff with the title of co-offensive coordinator.

Cleveland Browns: The team will interview Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy this afternoon.

Washington Redskins: Ron Rivera is interviewing Scott Turner today per multiple reports. Turner served first as quarterbacks coach then as offensive coordinator for Rivera at Carolina. Redskins OC Kevin O'Connell is considered a strong candidate to be retained per multiple reports, so Turner could potentially wind up as quarterbacks coach if not OC.

Western Carolina (FCS): Western Carolina football is looking to hire a director of scouting / quality control position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: the planning, facilitation, and execution of recruitment timelines and events. The management of recruitment boards and necessary recruitment aids. Maintaining accurate recruitment information and records through shareable means (Excel, google sheets, ect.). Managing and tracking recruitment budget throughout the fiscal year. Implementing plans and managing all social media platforms for the team. This position is also responsible for coordinating all video and filming necessities the team may have through the direction of a student staff, and all other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach. You will also work closely with the football coaching staff, Director of Football Operations, and other football support staff in the overall direction of a successful, Division I football program.
