FBS Staff Tracker: The 2020-21 FBS Staff Tracker page, where you can see how each new head coach is filling their staff, is up and running.

Gulf Shores HS (AL): Gulf Shores HS, a program led by Mark Hudspeth along with former FBS assistants Kenny Edenfield and Brian VanGorder, is looking to fill a few open positions on staff. The positions are wide receiver coach and video coordinator / special teams assistant. Both pay $8000 Supplement through December. Some meals provided. Opportunity to gain on the field coaching experience for your resume. You will work with and learn from 3 successful DI coaches to build your resume and who will help you develop future opportunities. No teaching requirements. Ability to work online for Masters. Live at the beach! Applicants for receivers position must have been a collegiate Wide Receiver and have prior College Offensive GA/SA experience. .Applicants for Video Coordinator/ST assistant must have prior video experience on college level as GA/SA.Must be able to relocate and start by July 1st. Bethune Cookman (FCS): Athletic director Lynn W. Thompson is leaving his post, the school has announced.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Former Raiders area scout Dave McCloughan is going to be a part of the Jaguars new scouting staff in a senior role, possibly as a national scout, Neil Stratton tweets.

San Jose State: Athletic director Marie Tuite has been reassigned to a fundraising role outside the athletic department, per multiple reports.

North Alabama (D-II): Athletic director Mark Linder is stepping down and will take on a new role as a lecturer in sport recreation management for the school. The new AD choice will lead UNA in their transition to FCS football in two years.

Houston: Director of player development Daikiel Shorts will be the interim wide receivers coach at Houston, a source tells FootballScoop. Shorts played receiver for Dana Holgorsen at West Virginia and has been with the Cougars for two years.

Rose Hulman (D-III - IN): Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is hiring a graduate assistant. Any position will be considered. Compensation includes graduate classes at Indiana State University, meals and a $10,000 stipend. Averett (D-III - VA): Averett University is looking to hire a graduate assistant in charge of Football Operations and to assist with recruiting. This is strictly an OFF the field position. Adobe Photoshop skills highly encouraged. Minimum qualifications include collegiate playing/coaching experience, knowledge and commitment to following NCAA, Conference, and University rules and regulations. A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and acceptance into the MBA Graduate Program at Averett University. The start date for this position is as early at July 1, 2021 but will remain open until filled. Interested persons should send a cover letter, resume and references in ONE attachment to the selection committee at football@averett.edu.

Norfolk State (FCS - LA): Southern University (FCS - LA) defensive line coach Skyler Jones is following Dawson Odums to Norfolk State as defensive line / recruiting coordinator, per source.

Grambling (FCS): Grambling is filling their offensive line job with an addition from a Group of Five program that has had a lot of success running the ball.

Buffalo: Duquesne (FCS - PA) run game coordinator / offensive line coach Matt Stansfield has accepted the offensive line job, Pete Thamel tweets. The hire completes Mo Linguist's staff.

Recruiting: One of the top players in the class of 2022 has opted out of his senior year. Is this an anomaly or the start of a trend?

LSU: Ed Orgeron is beefing up his support staff with the addition of a veteran NFL assistant, per report

Masters of Sports Administration:Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Education.

Erie CC (JC - NY): Mike Kemp has been named head coach. Kemp has previously served as head coach at Plymouth State (D-III - NH), Utica College (D-III - NY) and York HS (NY).

Big 12: Less than a decade ago, Big 12 defenses were giving up major points and a whole lot of yards. A lot has changed over the last several years, and one high profile coordinator points to the coach who started the started the defensive revolution in the league.
