Texas: Former Longhorns offensive lineman Octavious Bishop has been hired to a newly-created position of director of student leadership and personal development.

ESPN: Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated confirmed The Big Lead's report from Thursday stating Chris Berman will retire from his regular NFL hosting duties after the 2016 season, but allowed for him to stay on in a reduced capacity in 2017 and beyond.

ACC: Commissioner John Swofford earned $2.7 million in pay in 2014 according to tax documents obtained by USA Today. That's an increase of $575,000 from his 2013 pay -- in a year where the ACC's total revenues jumped nearly $100 million.

Davidson (FCS - NC): Sources tell FootballScoop thatSean Fisher has been hired to coach the corners. Fisher is the former tight ends coach at James Madison (FCS - VA), where the young offensive staff put up some impressive numbers in 2015, and had been coaching the wide receivers at Notre Dame College (D-II - OH).

Baylor: Phil Bennett is expected to be named Baylor's interim head coach today according to a report from Jeannine Edwards of ESPN. Why Bennett is an odd choice and the only choice.

Minnesota Crookston (D-II): The University of Minnesota, Crookston is looking for a tight end / fullback coach. Previous experience with the position or offensive line is preferred. This is a seasonal position and will have all the responsibilities, expectations, and hours of a full time position coach. $1500 for the season plus room and meals provided. Delaware Valley University (D-III – PA): Delaware Valley University seeks an assistant football coach to coach any offensive skill position. This is a full-time nine month position starting on August 1, 2016. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching. Candidates will be responsible for coaching their own position group, on the road recruiting in a specific area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. Northwood (D-II - MI): Northwood has hired former Taylor University (NAIA - IN) defensive coordinator Avante Mitchell to coach their defensive backs. Mitchell previously served as the interim head coach / defensive coordinator at Concordia University (Ann Arbor, MI).
