On September 11th we ask that everyone take some time today to recall the lives lost in 2001 when our country was attacked. The courageous and selfless acts by our first responders that day is the true definition of heroes. God bless the United States of America.

Seattle Seahawks: Pete Carroll announced today that special teams coordinator Brian Schneider has left the staff indefinitely. Carroll added that Schneider's leave is for personal reasons. Schneider has been with the Seahawks since Pete Carroll took over as head coach.

Big Ten: Today's episode of the As the Big Ten Turns features the Nebraska attorney general throwing a legal Hail Mary and a Minnesota vote that's bound to set off false alarms.

Memphis: Memphis has paused team activities after "a number of individuals" connected with the program tested positive. The outbreak is linked to a social event outside of football activities. The Tigers played last Saturday, are off this week and are scheduled to play against next Friday, Sept. 18, against Houston.

Miami: It was just one game, but The U's new running game could be a problem for the ACC.

Big 12: The Big 12 announced it has partnered with Virtual Care for Families to acquire Quidel Rapid Antigen tests to provide 15-minute results for all tests on the day before competitions.

Andy Reid: During last night's NFL game, Andy Reid's choice of face mask served as a lesson for coaches.

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M (JC): Defensive coordinator Zach Crissup has been promoted to full-time head coach. Crissup, a former Oklahoma State safety that has prior coaching experience at Missouri Southern and Fairmont State, had been promoted to interim head coach when former head coach Zach Allen left for Northeastern State.

High school football: A few new states begin their seasons tonight. We're now up to 25 states playing high school football tonight. Let's go!
