Tennessee State (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Eddie George is adding another former NFLer to his offensive staff at Tennessee State.

Virginia Lynchburg (NCCAA): Virginia University of Lynchburg is looking for games to fill their schedule. Games needed October 23rd and early November 2021. No JUCO/Post-Grad or trade school programs. Four-year colleges only. Please contact Athletic Director Fred Staton Jr., at

Football at the Movies: For the second time in 2021, Hollywood is giving us an underdog tale based on a true Texas high school football team.

Adams State (D-II - CO): Adams State has announced that they have removed the interim tag from head coach Jarrell Harrison. Harrison joined Adams State football in 2016 as running backs coach under former Head Coach Timm Rosenbach and was later promoted to interim head back in January following the resignation of former head coach Josh Blankenship.

Northern Iowa (FCS): The school has announced a five-year contract extension for head coach Mark Farley, which will keep him at the helm through the 2026 season. Farley has led the program for two decades and is the current leader at the FCS level in playoff wins.

UTSA: UTSA is seeking a highly motivated individual for a creative design role within the athletic department designing recruiting content to be used on all social media platforms. Examples of artwork, and interest in the position, can be sent to and you can apply via this link.

Union College (D-III - NY): Union College is accepting applications for the position of full time Assistant Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator. Responsibilities include assisting head coach in all aspects of a highly competitive Division III football program, including but not limited to: coordinating offensive unit, coaching offensive line, recruiting, student-athlete development, ensuring academic success of student-athletes, practice and game planning, management of staff, rules and compliance.Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree strongly preferred. Evidence of at least two years successful college football coaching experience required; Offensive line coaching experience required, offensive coordinator experience preferred; demonstrated ability to recruit quality student-athletes. Angelo Football Clinic: The Angelo Football Clinic will be offered both in-person and via livestream this year, June 17th - 19th. As always, the schedule is loaded with great speakers. Book it!

Shepherd (D-II - PA): Shepherd invites applications for (2) Graduate Assistant openings on Offense and Defense. Positions will be responsible for coaching and managing their own position group along with having their own recruiting areas. In addition; other duties assigned by the Head Coach. A bachelor's degree and acceptance into a graduate program at Shepherd University is required. Commitment to being a positive role model, as well as having excellent communication skills. Collegiate-level playing or coaching experience in the sport of football is preferred. The graduate assistant coaching position allows for full tuition (the student is responsible for all fees associated with the classes), on-campus housing, on-campus basic meal plan, and provides a stipend of $4,000 per year. Fresno State: Fresno State Football has an opening for an unpaid Graphics Intern. Responsibilities will include directly assisting our recruiting department with graphics and social media content. All interested candidates should email with a few examples of your work.

Winona State (D-II - MN): Longtime head coach Tom Sawyer has announced that he will lead the program for one last season.

West Alabama (D-II): Stony Brook (FCS - NY) co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Carmen Felus has joined the West Alabama staff as special teams coordinator / wide receivers coach, source tells FootballScoop. He replaces Lamont Seward, who joined the Tennessee Tech staff (see below).

Southeastern (NAIA - FL): Southeastern University, an NAIA program located in Lakeland, FL is looking for a Fall 2021, Week 1 opponent. This will be an Aug 28, 2021 home game. Open to NAIA or D3 opponents. Willing to discuss a home and home series or one game guarantee. Please contact Athletic Director Drew Watson at if you have any interest in discussing options.

Houston Baptist (FCS): Jared Still, who had been working in a special teams quality control role, has been promoted to director of player personnel and will also work with the team's specialists, per source.

Washington State: In true Nick Rolovich fashion, the Wazzu spring game was unlike any spring game you've ever seen.

Tennessee Tech (FCS): West Alabama (D-II) wide receivers coach / special teams coordinator / associate head coach Lamont Seward has joined the staff, per source.

Big Boys Club:Fox Sports is launching The Big Boys Club, which will be an offensive line version of the hit Gruden QB Camp.

Arkansas: Arkansas and Bret Bielema have finally dropped their guns and stopped suing each other.

Kansas: Sources tell FootballScoop sitting head coaches, top coordinators in the mix for the Kansas head coaching position.

College Football Playoff: It remains to be seen when and by how much it happens, but it’s a virtual certainty that the College Football Playoff expands in the near future.

Chris Petersen: The former Boise State and Washington head coach’s latest comments don’t indicate he’s itching to return to coaching.

South Carolina: New offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield is empowering players to take ownership of ball security with some creative homework.
