Randy Ross: Source tells FootballScoop long-time coach / operations man Randy Ross has decided to retire. Ross came to Arkansas with Chad Morris after having spent 11 seasons at SMU. Prior to his time in Dallas, Ross spent 17 seasons at Alabama. In total, we believe Ross has been in football 45 seasons. Ross served as President of the Directors of Football Operations National Committee this year.

USC: The Trojans announced tonight that Graham Harrell has signed an extension to remain at USC. He was offered the same offensive coordinator role Texas. Bruce Feldman adds that Harrell's deal is 3 years at $1.2 million per season.

SEC: If you feel like the SEC gets preferential treatment from ESPN now, wait until this happens.

Ole Miss: Randy Clements is joining the staff as offensive line coach. Clements served in the same capacity at Florida State last season. Clements was on staff with Art and Kendal at Baylor from 2008-16, and with Kendal at FAU and FSU. He will now join Art's son-in-law Jeff Lebby in Oxford. Lane Kiffin is also adding Alex Collins (from FAU) as senior personnel analyst.

Texas A&M-Kingsville: Texas A&M-Kingsville has two finalists with a hire coming as early as tomorrow, sources say.

Missouri: As we previously reported a few days ago, Mizzou has now formally announced Casey Woods as an offensive assistant with his specific role to be named later.

Lawrence (D-III - WI): Sources tell FootballScoop that Carroll (D-III - WI) offensive coordinator Troy Aker will be the new head coach at Lawrence.

Cincinnati: Minnesota deputy athletic director John Cunningham is expected to be announced as the Bearcats new athletic director, according to Matt Fortuna.

Arkansas: Defensive coordinator Barry Odom is set to make $1.2 million according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. The Razorbacks have made his addition to the staff official today.

Missouri Southern State (D-II): Missouri Southern State University has started a Graduate Assistantship program and is hiring several positions with opportunity to start January 2, 2020. Positions Available: offensive line / tight ends, quarterbacks / running backs, wide receivers, defensive line, linebackers, and the secondary. Delaware State (FCS): Delaware State University has three open positions on the staff; offensive coordinator, defensive line coach, and linebackers coach. Applicants must apply for these positions via this link. No emails or phone calls will be accepted.

Ohio State: Ryan Day shared today with local media that he would be "very, very surprised" if Buckeye linebackers coach Al Washington left for Boston College to join Jeff Hafley's staff as defensive coordinator. Washington played defensive end at BC, and spend five seasons on staff there as well.

Black Hills State (D-II - SD): Josh Breske, who was a standout offensive lineman for the program from 2005-09, has been named head coach after spending three seasons as offensive line coach / recruiting coordinator at Lindenwood University (D-II - MO).

Indiana: Athletic director Fred Glass will retire at the end of the academic year, per multiple reports. Update >> Glass has formally announced the news.

Arkansas: Georgia quality control assistant Patrick Doherty, who had been with the Bulldogs since 2016, is expected to join the Razorbacks staff according to NWAOnline. The report adds that defensive backs coach Mark Smith and assistant director of football operations SJ Tuohy will not remain on staff.

Memphis: Ryan Silverfield noted during his media availability yesterday that he does not plan to make any staff changes before their bowl game and that he plans to continue to work with the offensive line in addition to his head coaching duties leading up to the game. The Tigers face Penn State in the Cotton Bowl on December 28th.

Carnegie Mellon (D-III - PA): After 36 years with the university, defensive coordinator Terry Bodnar has announced his retirement.

South Florida: Jeff Scott is not expected to retain any of Charlie Strong's staff members, Joey Knight tweets.

Eastern New Mexico (D-II): Eastern New Mexico University is in need of a home and home agreement for October 3rd 2020 and October 2nd 2021 . ENMU is a NCAA DII school that competes in the Lone Star Conference. NCAA DII opponents preferred, but will consider all options. If interested please contact

Notre Dame: Following the departure of offensive coordinator Chip Long from the program, running backs coach Lance Taylor will take charge of the ground game while quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees has assumed responsibility for the passing game for their bowl game against Iowa State, per Irish Sports Daily. Kelly adds in the article that his search for the best fit to replace long will continue with internal and external candidates and that he has no plans to call offensive plays.

Urban Meyer: After some chatter linking his presence at the game to the Redskins open head coaching job, Redskins rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin stated after the game, via JP Finlay, that Meyer attended the game as his guest to support him and Dwayne Haskins, and he wasn't there regarding the coaching job.

Castleton (D-III - VT): Castleton University is looking for a home game for week 4 (Sept. 26) of the 2020 season. Castleton will reciprocate with an away game in the 2021 season.
