Please join us in praying for the family of former college assistant and administrator William Belknap, who has passed. Belknap coached a decade at Arizona and went on to serve as athletic director at Idaho and Wichita State.

SWAC (FCS): The SWAC has postponed all fall competition, becoming the fifth FCS conference to do so. The league will pursue a spring season beginning with an 8-week training camp in January, then a 7-game schedule with six SWAC games (four divisional/two non-divisional) and one non-conference game.

NFL: It appears we will not have to deal with a labor dispute derailing the season before it begins. More here.

Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game: Peach Bowl CEO Gary Stokan told the Tallahassee Democrat on Monday that all three Chick-fil-A Kickoff Games are still on the schedule -- Florida State vs. West Virginia (Sept. 5), Georgia vs. Virginia (Sept. 7) and North Carolina vs. Auburn (Sept. 12).

New Jersey: Fans will not be permitted at Giants, Jets and Rutgers games this fall, according to

Alabama: The Tide's locker room has undergone some impressive upgrades to include a prime-time napping recliner in each locker and some impressive customizations.

Erskine (D-II - SC): Former Southeastern (NAIA - FL) offensive line coach Drew Engels has joined the staff. Engels has previous coaching experience at Warner (NAIA - FL), and in various roles at Miami of Ohio, Western Michigan, Grand Valley State (D-II - MI), and Hope (D-III - MI).

Pac-12: The Pac-12 has pushed its media days, planned for July 29-31, back to an undetermined date.

BYU: AD Tom Holmoe, speaking today, said they are actively working to replace 5 games, adding that anything is possible at this time. No details available yet; but they want to play and will consider all options.

High school ball: California is pushing the start of their high school season back to begin in either December or January. Also allowing some new things this one year only (hopefully).

MIAA (D-II): The Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association has delayed the start of practices to Aug. 31 and the start of competitions to Sept. 28.

Iowa: Last month former players brought to light a number of racial issues within Iowa football. Turns out, athletics leadership was aware of the issues long before.

NFL: NFL and owners will be meeting at 2pm EST today to try and finalize health and safety measures, financial arrangements, and reducing or eliminating preseason games, Adam Schefter tweets.

We want to play: NFL veterans went public this weekend, seeking changes before veterans report to camp.

Trinity International (NAIA - IL): Trinity International has an immediate opening for an offensive restricted earnings position (QBs or OL preferred). Looking for the best available candidate to start immediately. Applicants must have a strong Christian faith and work within Trinity International University’s Christian mission. The position will have their own recruiting area and will be responsible for coaching and managing their own position, including position meetings. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to film breakdown and data entry, assisting with special teams, recruiting, running positional meetings, assisting with game preparation, and other duties assigned by the head coach. The position includes a $7,500 stipend, housing and some meals. Newberry College (D-II - SC): Defensive line coach / recruiting coordinator Jarvis Littlejohn has been hired as the new head coach and athletic director at Denmark-Olar HS (SC).
