Bob Reade, who led incredibly successful programs at Geneseo HS (IL) and Augustana (D-III - IL), has passed at age 87. He went 146-21-4 with three straight state tiles at Geneseo in the late-70's and at Augie went 146-23-1 with four national titles. Please join us in keeping his family in your prayers.

MCAC (JC): The Minnesota Collegiate Athletic Conference has canceled its fall football season. Discussions about a possible spring season are ongoing.

Fordham at Hawai'i: Fordham has cancelled their game on September 12th at Hawaii, per Patriot League's travel policy.

Pac-12: The Pac-12's CEO group has held discussions about buying out commissioner Larry Scott's contract early, according to The Oregonian. More here.

Ivy League (FCS): They've already established themselves as a league not afraid to make tough decisions, and later this week the Ivy League will formally vote on pushing football to the spring.

Pac-12: The conference has taken additional steps to offset the financial damage caused by COVID, including tapping into the league's emergency reserves and extending salary cuts to commissioner Larry Scott and his senior executive team through the 2020-21 fiscal year, per the San Jose Mercury-News.

Southwest Baptist (D-II - MO): Southwest Baptist University is currently seeking an offensive graduate assistant. Candidates with coaching experience will be given preference. Duties will be assigned by the head coach and include coaching a position, managing a recruiting area, video work, etc. Interested applicants should submit a resume, list of references and a statement of faith to offensive coordinator Phil Staback via email at pstaback@sbuniv.edu.

East Central CC (JC - MS): East Central Community College (MS) is currently seeking a volunteer coach/part-time student services assistant, preferably with Mississippi ties, for the 2020-21 season. The coach will be responsible for the running backs. This position is a 9 month position that requires competent computer skills (Hudl, and Microsoft office). Duties will include working with student services and monitoring a campus dorm. Compensation is based on an hourly wage with meals, insurance and housing provided. Applicants may email their resumes to head football coach Ken Karcher at kkarcher@eccc.edu.

Albany State (D-II - GA): Source tells FootballScoop Anthony Toribio has joined the staff as defensive line coach. Toribio, who played at Carson-Newman, played for the Kansas City Chiefs 2010-13. Prior to joining Albany State Toribio coached defensive ends at Carson-Newman.

Atlanta Falcons: Kjahna O and Shelly Harvey have been added as full-time hires in the team's personnel department in scouting assistant and scouting coordinator roles, per Lindsay Jones.

Roosevelt (NAIA - Chicago, IL): Roosevelt University (formerly known as Robert Morris University) is looking to fill an open GA position ASAP. Preference will be given to experience on the offensive side of the football, but ultimately we are looking for the best all-around fit. Compensation will include full coverage of graduate school tuition and a $5,000 stipend. Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA. Mark Hudspeth: In case you missed it, Friday afternoon Austin Peay announced Mark Hudspeth was stepping down as head coach.

Langston (NAIA - OK): Langston University announced that they're cancelling the fall 2020 sports season over COVID-19 concerns.

Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University is seeking candidates for an Assistant Coach for Football and Track. This is a 12 month, benefit eligible position which will work half time for each sport. The purpose of this position is to assist the Head Coaches of Football and Track. This Assistant Coach for Football will work in the areas of both offense and defense. The Assistant Coach for Track will work in all possible areas but experience with the vertical and horizontal jumps is preferred. This coach will also assist both programs with efforts related to recruiting, fundraising, compliance, student retention, all duties as assigned by both head coaches and the athletic director, and student study efforts. "We lost our WARRIOR, but Heaven gained one." CSU Pueblo announced defensive coordinator Donnell Leomiti died Saturday surrounded by family. Please keep the Leomitis in your prayers.

Upper Iowa (D-II): TyQuan Hammock has been hired as the team's new defensive coordinator, per source. Hammock, a former Michigan State linebacker, coached as a graduate assistant at Northern Illinois last season.
