UConn: Bob Diaco and UConn have agreed to a two-year contract extension taking him through 2020, per Pete Thamel of SI.

Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers have named Denzel Martin to a scouting intern position with the organization. Martin spent the last 15 months in a graduate assistant role with the Missouri staff.

Kennesaw State (FCS - GA): Kennesaw State University is currently accepting applications for an off the field graduate assistant for offense. The offensive graduate assistant will support the offensive staff and operations/recruiting staff in organization, planning and directing all aspects of our Division I football program. Primary responsibilities include: assisting with recruiting student-athletes, assisting with sports camps, video editing and assisting with management of office activities. This is a full time GA position. This position may require some evening and weekend work. Minimum qualifications for this position: Bachelor’s Degree; Acceptance into Kennesaw State University Graduate college, college level playing or coaching experience; a valid driver’s license and low-risk driving record and is insurable by the University; able to demonstrate excellent written communication skills;. Preferred qualifications for this position include: experienced in working collegiate sports camps; experienced with video equipment, editing and graphic design work and experience with JumpForward database. McDaniel (D-III - MD): McDaniel College located in Westminster, MD has a job opening for a graduate assistant coaching line backers. This is a ten month position starting on August 1st. Responsibilities include coaching your own position group, off campus recruiting and all other duties assigned by the head coach and athletic director. Iowa State: Iowa State is looking to hire a graduate assistant in our recruiting department for the 2016 season. Applicants should have a background in recruiting and personnel at the collegiate level with aspirations to progress into a full time scouting / personnel role. Dakota College at Bottineau (JC - ND): Dakota College at Bottineau is looking for an assistant football coach / coordinator (offensive coordinator preferred, but DC position could be available based on strengths of candidates). Please specify what side of ball you are interested in and short overview of offensive/defensive scheme. Part-time position, salary $7,000 - $8,000, room and board possible if candidate took on some residence life duties in addition to coaching. Chowan (D-II - NC): Per source, Sean Cascarano has accepted the offensive line job. Cascarano spent the past three seasons as a graduate assistant at Virginia under Mike London and Bronco Mendenhall, and played his college ball at UVA for London and Al Groh.

Independence CC (KS): Independence Community College is seeking three unpaid intern positions but will have vital coaching and recruiting duties. These positions are available to those aspiring to get into the coaching profession. We are looking for interns on both sides of the ball and for a crucial video editor & film coordinator position that has some experience with DVSPORT or XO’S. The positions are all on the field positions with housing, and meals being offered. You will gain experience and knowledge in working with a JUCO which is structured as a Division I football program. The persons in these positions will be responsible for assisting a coordinator and with the possibility of coaching his own position within the framework of the program. You will also assist the recruiting coordinator with on campus activities, director of football operations, and other duties assigned by the head coach and director of football operations. Knowledge of video editing, strong communication and computer skills are preferred. Applicants will be required to successfully complete a Skype/Facebook type of interview. Incarnate Word (FCS - TX): The University of Incarnate Word is currently seeking applicants for unpaid intern positions. The candidates will assist with all aspects of a NCAA Division I FCS football program including compliance with NCAA and University rules, assisting the recruiting coordinator, OFFENSIVE/DEFENSIVE staff, video editing and breakdown, Social Media/Graphics and other duties as assigned by the head coach. This is a full time position with no compensation and no housing benefits. This internship may require some evening and weekend work. Minimum qualifications for this position: Bachelor’s Degree; college level playing or coaching experience; a valid driver’s license; able to demonstrate excellent written communication skills; able to provide demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse student-athlete and staff population. Must be committed to the academic progress and success of student-athletes; assist with the scouting and recruitment of student-athletes; assist in the coordination of fundraising, camps, clinics and special events. These are great entry-level opportunities within a Division 1 FCS program with the ability to earn strong recommendations for future employment.
