Southern Miss: Southern Miss has hired two former head coaches -- one of them with C-USA ties, another with ties to interim head coach Scotty Walden -- to their staff. Details here.

Atlanta Falcons: Asked if interim head coach Raheem Morris has a shot at the full-time job, team owner Arthur Blank said, "If Raheem ends up 11-0 then he'll certainly be a candidate." Okay then.

Atlanta Falcons: Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris has been named interim head coach. Morris has been an assistant on both sides of the ball for the Falcons and he is the former head coach of the Buccaneers from 2009-11, where he compiled a 17-31 record.

Monday Night Football: The featured matchup for MNF this week is the LA Chargers at New Orleans Saints. Kickoff is set for 7:15pm CST on ESPN.

Lane (D-II - TN): Jeremy Patterson is returning to his alma mater to become the linebackers coach, source tells FootballScoop. Patterson previously served as the defensive coordinator / linebackers coach at Coahoma CC (JC - MS).

Atlanta Falcons: Last night, the Falcons formally announced that head coach Dan Quinn and GM Thomas Dimitroff were relieved of their duties. Team president and CEO Rich McKay is now in charge of football operations, and the team has not yet decided on who will serve as interim head coach, per reports.

Ole Miss: After Alabama wondered aloud if Ole Miss stole the Tide’s signals, Lane Kiffin responded that Ole Miss never bothered to try.

#Nuggets: Lane Kiffin made Nick Saban work like no assistant has before, the Red River rivals played a thriller and everything else in a wild Saturday.
