New York Giants: Joe Judge is expected to keep wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert, tweets Ian Rapoport.

LSU: Joe Brady has agreed on a new 3-year deal should he remain at LSU, per Ross Dellenger of SI, but this isn't the end of the story. Details here.

Syracuse: Sterlin Gilbert will leave his post as the head coach at McNeese (FCS - LA) to become the offensive coordinator at Cuse, sources tell FootballScoop. More here.

Syracuse: San Diego State defensive coordinator Zach Arnett has joined the staff in the same capacity. Ironically, Rocky Long interviewed for the same job before retiring. "Zach is a very talented coach," Dino Babers said. "He learned under a great defensive mind in Rocky Long at San Diego State and excelled when he got the opportunity to run the defense there. His qualities, both as a person and as a professional, are an excellent fit for our program."

Abilene Christian (FCS - TX): Eastern Kentucky wide receivers coach Donte Ellington has taken the same job at ACU.

USC: John David Baker will be promoted to inside receivers/tight ends coach, a source tells FootballScoop. Baker is currently an analyst at USC and worked under Graham Harrell at North Texas previously.

Miami: Sources tell FootballScoop Miami is hiring Garin Justice as their new offensive line coach. Justice served as offensive coordinator at UNLV this past season. He has coached offensive line at UNLV the past two seasons and coached it at FAU the two seasons prior to that.

LSU / Clemson: LSU vs. Clemson is very much the college football equivalent of Ali vs. Frazier or Tyson vs. Holyfield, but the fight within the fight will be Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady vs. Brent Venables.

Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons are hiring Tosh Lupoi as defensive line / run game coordinator.

Washington: Jimmy Lake has promoted offensive analyst Derham Cato to tight ends coach. UW has also now made it official with Pete Kwiatkowski as defensive coordinator and Ikaika Malloe has added the co-defensive coordinator title.

Butler Community College (KS): Butler has an immediate opening for an entry level position coaching tight ends and fullbacks. Salary is 10k and includes housing and meals. College playing or coaching experience required. Hudl experience preferred. Previous experience with offensive Line or tight end is preferred; either as a player or a coach. Some dorm duties are involved with this position. Detroit: The Lions are hiring Brayden Coombs as special teams coordinator. Coombs spent the past ten seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, most recently serving as assistant special teams coach.

FCS National Championship: James Madison takes on North Dakota State today at 11am CT (ABC). Good luck to all involved.

Los Angeles Rams: The Rams are hiring Brandon Staley as defensive coordinator and Kevin O'Connell as offensive coordinator. Following the 2016 season, Staley was selected by prior winners as the FootballScoop Division III Coordinator of the Year.

NFL Playoffs: Vikings at 49ers (1:35PT - NBC) & Titans at Ravens (8:15ET - CBS).

Panthers: Matt Rhule is interested in LSU's Joe Brady as his offensive coordinator sources tell FootballScoop.

West Georgia (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop West Georgia has promoted offensive graduate assistant Will Bearden to running backs coach. Bearden, 21, is a former UWG quarterback.

Army: Western Michigan receivers coach Keith Gaither is headed back to Army in the same role.

Masters of Sports Administration: Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Education.


Indiana: Former IMG head coach Kevin Wright will join the Indiana staff as tight ends coach Bruce Feldman has tweeted.

Mike Leach: Not only did Mike Leach get a great deal for himself, he significantly raised the pool for assistant coaches at Mississippi State.
