Army: App State safeties coach Greg Gasparato is joining the Army staff.

Vanderbilt: Sources tell FootballScoop NC State nickels coach Aaron Henry has accepted a position on Derek Mason's staff at Vanderbilt. Henry had just completed his third season on staff at NC State. In 2017 he coached safeties before moving to nickels prior to the 2018 season. He previously coached defensive backs for one season at Rutgers and was a defensive backs grad assistant at Arkansas prior to that. 247 has reported the same.

Houston Texans: Outside linebackers coach and senior defensive assistant John Pagano has been fired, according to Aaron Wilson who writes for the Houston Chronicle.

San Diego State: Source tells FootballScoop that Kansas tight ends coach Jeff Hecklinski is joining the staff as offensive coordinator. Hecklinski previously coached with Hoke at Ball State (WRs), San Diego State (assistant head coach / RBs) and Michigan (WRs).

Ole Miss: Terrell Buckley has been announced as corners coach after spending the last four seasons at Mississippi State coaching the same position. The hire completes Lane Kiffin's staff - Ole Miss Staff Tracker (2019-20).

Mississippi State: Sources tell FootballScoop Mike Leach plans to bring Darcel McBath and Jeff Phelps from his Washington State defensive staff. At Wazzu McBath coach corners (and stepped up to serve as interim defensive coordinator at the end of the season), Phelps coached defensive line. Both coaches had been with Leach the past three seasons. More on Leach's defensive coordinator hire below...

Lamar (FCS - TX): First-year head coach Blane Morgan has announced his offensive staff as follows; Patrick Covington (OC / OL), Ron Antoine (co-OC / WRs), Coby Gipson (RBs / recruiting coordinator), Jackson Eskierka (QBs), and Austen Jacobs (TEs). Covington spent last season working with the offensive line at Coastal Carolina, Antoine worked with the receivers at Texas State, Gipson was the defensive line coach at East Texas Baptist (D-III) and Eskierka and Jacobs both join the staff from San Diego State.

Ole Miss: Derrick Nix is being retained and will coach the wide receivers and Freddie Roach is also being retained and will be associate head coach / defensive line coach.

Michigan: Michigan has now announced the hires of Bob Shoop (safeties) and Brian Jean-Mary (linebackers). Jim Harbaugh also announced that Jay Harbaugh has been promoted and will now serve as special teams / running backs. Shoop was Joe Moorhead defensive coordinator at Mississippi State and Jean-Mary was defensive coordinator at USF under Charlie Strong.

Mississippi State: Source tells FootballScoop Navy defensive coordinator Brian Newberry is a strong candidate to join Mike Leach's staff. We hear a deal could be finalized today. Newberry served as defensive coordinator at Kennesaw State (FCS - GA) four seasons before going to Navy for this past season.

McNeese (FCS - LA): Source tells FootballScoop new head coach Frank Wilson has let all of the assistant coaches go with the exception of Landon Hoefer. Hoefer, who coached running backs this past season, has been at McNeese six seasons, coaching quarterbacks and receivers in the past.

Penn State: The whisper in the profession is James Franklin is targeting University of Miami receivers coach Taylor Stubblefield as the Nittany Lions' new receivers coach. Stubblefield was an All-American receiver at Purdue. He would go on to have short stints in the NFL and CFL before beginning his coaching career. This was his first season at Miami, after having coached receivers at Air Force, Toronto Argos, Utah, Wake Forest, New Mexico, Central Michigan, Illinois State, Eastern Michigan and Central Washington. Oregon: Source tells FootballScoop former Pitt State defensive coordinator Nate Dreiling is expected to join the Oregon staff as a defensive quality control.

Nevada: Source tells FootballScoop former Syracuse defensive coordinator Brian Ward will be the new defensive coordinator at Nevada.

Galo Roosters (Brazil): The Galo Roosters American football organization is looking to hire a LB or DB coach from July until December. Position includes No salary, round trip airfare, housing at a 4 star Hotel, 2 meals per day, gym membership and chance to work and live in the beautiful city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The Galo Roosters in 2019 set a new Brazillian league record with 44 games won in a row and won 2 out of the last 3 Brazillian Bowls. Must have a valid passport ready. Concord (D-II - WV): Former Tusculum offensive coordinator Brian Ferguson has accepted the same job at Concord.

Saint John’s (D-III - MN): Saint John's is looking for a game either September 12, 2020 or October 3, 2020. Prefer home game. Also have an open dates in 2021 and 2022. Looking for D3 schools preferably, open to NAIA or D2, as well. Contact Mike Orts for more information at
