Install Series: 20/30 Personnel Wide Zone Package via William and Mary’s “Go-Go” Formation:The epiphany came about with a younger Brennan Marion watching former quarterback Roger Staubach orchestrate the Navy offense. If the “dodger” can attach reads to every run game concept, why couldn’t he? So, William and Mary (VA) offensive coordinator designed most of his triple-option offense around what he calls a “Go-Go” formation by placing two backs in near proximity to each other, creating three-eligibles (with QB) in the backfield without losing any threats in the passing game. Next Tuesday, X&O Labs is releasing an exclusive clinic report featuring Coach Marion and his Go-Go formation. If you’re not familiar with the Go-Go, it’s an offense predicated on tempo, spacing, multiple formations, and personnel groupings. It’s no gimmick either; the Tribe increased its rushing average by over 150 yards per game and its scoring by 14 points per game in his first year running the system. Just don’t ask him where he got the name. Get this exclusive report sent directly to your email at 7 am EST Tuesday morning. This is a FREE service from X&O Labs. Go here to register your email.
