Nicholls State (FCS - LA): Louisiana College (D-III) defensive line coach Brock Hays is joining the staff as running backs coach, per a report from SI.

New Mexico State: According to the Las Cruces Sun-News, New Mexico State plans to become an FBS Independent when its membership as a Sun Belt member expires in 2017.

Kent State: Methodist University (D-III - NC) running backs coach Jaren Maybin has accepted a graduate assistant position on staff working with offensive skill players at Kent State, per source,

Southeastern University (NAIA - FL): Austin "AJ" Smith, who spent the last two seasons at UCLA and SMU has been named quarterbacks coach at Southeastern, sources tell FootballScoop.

Lead Draw/Spot RPO:It was December’s Orange Bowl between Clemson and Oklahoma that helped to reaffirm the productivity of the Lead Draw/Spot RPO concept that Robert E. Wesleyan University (D-III - CT): Wesleyan University is looking to hire an assistant football coach (DL) and assistant track and field coach (throwers). This is a full-time, non-faculty appointment. Duties include; assist with video analysis and practice planning, recruit and mentor student-athletes, assist with weekend recruiting visits by prospective student-athletes, assist with community outreach and the development of student-athletes, and other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience coaching or playing football at the college or secondary level, a demonstrated ability to recruit. South Alabama: University of South Alabama has a offensive line graduate assistant position open. You must have collegiate experience playing or coaching the position and must be able to gain acceptance into a valid Graduate program at South Alabama. Minimum 2.5 GPA. University of Arkansas at Monticello (D-II): University of Arkansas at Monticello is accepting applications for a wide receiver offensive graduate assistant. The candidate will assist with all aspects of a NCAA Division II football program including compliance with NCAA and Univ. rules, coaching wide receivers, recruiting, video editing and breakdown and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Previous playing and/or coaching experience with wide receivers are required. Must be able to be admitted to the Graduate School per University policy. ULM: Per source, former McNeese State quarterback Tyler Bolfing is joining the staff as a graduate assistant.

Virginia State: Former Alabama State head coach Reggie Barlow has accepted the head coaching position at Virginia State.


Trinity Bible College (NCCAA): Darren Jackson has been named the head coach of the program. Coach Jackson previously coached at The Apprentice School (D-III) and this last season was at University Christian School (FL) were they won the 2A state championship.
