Long time Louisiana assistant coach Tony Misita passed away earlier this week. Please join us in keeping Coach Misita and his family in your prayers. Coach Misita had coaching stints at Southeastern Louisiana under Coach Stanley Galloway and Oscar Lofton; Louisiana Tech with Maxie Lambright; Tulane with Coach Bennie Ellender, and Coach Vince Gibson; and at the Ole Miss with Coach Ken Cooper and Coach Steve Sloan.

LSU: Receivers coach Mickey Joseph's pay was bumped from $400,000 to $500,000 in a new two-year deal approved today the Daily Advertiser reports.

Presbyterian (FCS - SC): "The coach who never punts" - Kevin Kelley has agreed to become head coach at Presbyterian.

Chadron State (D-II - NE): Chadron State College has an immediate opening for three Coaching Assistant positions (GA or Restricted Earnings). We have two positions open on the offensive side of the ball, and one position open for defense. These positions will be responsible for coaching a position; running meetings; assist in game planning, film analysis and breakdown (HUDL), recruiting; and other duties assigned by the Head Coach or Coordinator. The position pay is approximately $15,000 to $20,000 over 10 months. You must pass a background check. East Central (D-II - OK): East Central University is looking to hire a graduate assistant working with Defensive Backs. Must have experience coaching or playing the position. SUNY Cortland (D-III): SUNY Cortland is seeking applicants for two (2) Assistant Football Coaches on defense. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Defensive position coach (DL or LB preferred), managing a recruiting area, as well as assisting in the academic support and retention of student-athletes. Salary is $25,500 (10-month contract). NYS health benefits available. No housing or meals provided (affordable housing options available). Preferred candidates will have 2-3 years of NCAA coaching and recruiting experience. Experience in football strength & conditioning is a plus (CSCS or USAW certification preferred). Bachelor’s degree required. Start date is August 1st. The assistant coach for SUNY Cortland football assists in all aspects of the administration and operation of a nationally competitive athletic program. Tennessee Titans: Blaise Taylor and Matthew Miller, who both served as scouting assistants last season, have been moved into full-time roles, Neil Stratton tweets. Taylor will be pro scout, while Miller will serve as a college scout.

MIT (D-III - MA): The Massachusetts Institute of Technology is currently accepting applications for volunteer, Defensive / Offensive Quality Control Assistants. This is an entry level position designed for highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and an interest in gaining direct work experience with a college football program. Candidates should have a minimum of playing experience at the high school level, with collegiate playing experience preferred. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: video upload and editing, opponent film breakdown, opponent reports, assisting with recruiting, tracking recruiting activity, and any other responsibilities assigned by the Head Coach. Candidates must have a strong background using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Prior experience with graphic design, social media, marketing, sales, business management, sport performance, physical education & wellness is preferred. This is strictly a volunteer position with no stipend, housing, or meals. Local applicants are encouraged to apply. Butler CC (JC - KS): Butler Community College has an opening for a DFO / Graphic Designer. This is a part-time position, with no benefits. Housing and meals are provided. Job responsibilities: Create and Design graphics for recruiting & program, assist with travel & meals, & assist with recruiting. Must be proficient using Photoshop or similar editing software. Ohio Northern (D-III): Ohio Northern University is looking for a restricted earnings Running Back Coach. This position will pay 1,000/month and includes housing. Candidate will assist the Head Football Coach in all aspects of a college football program as well as have their own recruiting area. Quincy (D-II - IL): Quincy University is accepting applications for volunteer or student assistant opportunities on either side of the ball. This job includes coaching your own position, recruiting and other responsibilities as assigned by the head coach and coordinator. Byrant (FCS - RI): Bryant University seeks applicants for Offensive Graduate Assistant Coach. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and a desire and ability to become accepted into our MBA program in the fall of 2021. Graduate Assistant Position includes: tuition, housing, and a small stipend per semester. Operating Knowledge of Visio, XOS Thunder Cloud, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office and Google Drive preferred. Candidates will need a graduating GPA of 3.0+ and preferably a degree in the Business field. Qualified candidates will need to email a cover letter and resume to football@bryant.edu. Wake Forest: Jalyn Ballein has joined the program as assistant to the head coach and on-campus recruiting coordinator. Ballein, who previously served as the director of on-campus recruiting at Georgia Southern, is the daughter of John Ballein who served on Frank Beamer's staffs at Virginia Tech for nearly three decades.

Michigan: Sources tell FootballScoop that the Wolverines are seeking to add to personnel staff with hire from the SEC.

Cumberland (NAIA - TN): The program has announced the addition of Chris Barton, a defensive graduate assistant at Georgia Southern, as their new offensive line coach.

Nick Saban: The Alabama head coach’s drive to be the best he can possibly be extends beyond football, and this story from The Blindside director is a great example.

Southern (FCS - LA): Sources tell FootballScoop that Wilbert Gilmore has been hired at Southern as special teams coordinator / defensive ends coach. Gilmore most recently coached the defensive ends for SWAC champs Alabama A&M (FCS).

Elon (FCS): Arketa Banks has joined the staff as corners coach and Dovonte Edwards has been announced as defensive pass game coordinator and safeties coach. Banks returns to his alma mater after serving as the wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator at Western Carolina (FCS) since 2019 while Edwards was at North Carolina Central (FCS) as defensive pass game coordinator and safeties coach the last few seasons.

New England Patriots: Neil Stratton tweets that Matt Groh will serve as the team's director of college scouting, Steve Cargile as director of pro scouting, and Camren Williams will be a national scout.

Susquehanna (D-III - PA): Richan Gaskins has been announced as the team's new special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach. Gaskins spent the last few seasons at Ferrum College (D-III - VA) as defensive backs coach, and prior to that was the defensive coordinator at Allegheny (D-III - PA).

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers are hiring former Patriots scout Jon Howard to fill one of their two expected vacancies in their area scout department, Neil Stratton tweets.

SAGU (D-III - TX): SAGU is looking for a home game on October 2nd, preferably a D3 or NAIA opponent. Willing to negotiate a guarantee and will do a home and home for 2022.
