ESPN: Early this morning ESPN announced significant layoffs, and this afternoon veteran college football reporter Ivan Maisel announced that, after 18 years with the network, he is among the employees that will not be back after his contract runs out January 31st, 2021. Maisel did outstanding work during his tenure with ESPN, including a very memorable College Football 150 series that ranked the greatest players in the sport's history.

North Texas vs. Louisiana Tech: This game has now officially been postponed due to the number of COVID-19 cases and contact traces. A release from North Texas notes that they are hopeful to reschedule the game for the weekend of December 5th.

Air Force vs. Army: This game will not be played this weekend as scheduled, according to multiple reports now. Adam Rittenberg adds that the game could be rescheduled for December 19th (the week after Army vs. Navy).

Lawrence Tech (NAIA - MI): Lawrence Tech University is looking to hire an offensive graduate assistant. Please send your resume and references to kbeckham@ltu.edu. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, coaching a position, recruiting, and assisting in all things related to offense and the overall football program. Cal vs. Washington: The Pac-12 has announced a single positive test has canceled this game.

College coaching and recruiting experience is preferred. Applicants must be accepted into the graduate program with a 3.0 GPA. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, equipment organization, practice planning, coaching a position group, leading meetings, film break down, player evaluation and recruiting, promotion and marketing of the program, and assisting in general day to day football operations. This position pays full tuition, a meal plan, as well as a healthy stipend. Chicago Bears: A few Bears offensive lineman have tested positive for COVID and are going virtual with team activities today to be safe.

Minnesota: Defensive coordinator Joe Rossi will not coach on Saturday vs. Illinois due to a positive COVID-19 test, the school has announced. Co-defensive coordinator Joe Harasymiak will call the defense Saturday.

Wyoming vs. Louisiana-Lafayette: The postponed game between these two programs has been rescheduled to 2029. The 2026 meeting between the two teams is still set to take place at Wyoming.

Tulsa vs. Navy: This game has been postponed due to COVID-19 cases and contact tracy at Navy, the AAC announces. A makeup date is TBD.

USC: Jacob Brown, the director of football video production that the Trojans hired away from LSU, is no longer working with the program, per Inside USC.

ESPN: The network is laying off 300 employees and will not fill 200 currently open positions, according to Andrew Marchand.

Games Tonight: Three games total on tonight - 2 college and 1 NFL. Utah State will play Nevada at 7pm EST on FS1 and Wyoming will face Colorado State at 9pm on CBSSN. The NFL game will feature the Packers at 49ers kicking off at 8:20pm EST on NFL Network.

Bill Belichick: Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has reportedly been subpoenaed by attorneys representing Arkansas' interests related to their lawsuit vs Bret Bielema. This could be something.

Pac 12: Two Pac 12 teams are facing the real possibility they will not be able to play their season openers this Saturday.

Packers-49ers: Despite San Francisco shutting down their facility yesterday, tonight's game is on, per Ian Rapoport.

Houston Texans: Following a positive COVID test from a player, the team is shutting down the facility today and they will go virtual.

Utah: Last night, Utah announced a contract extension for Kyle Whittingham that could possibly take him through the end of his career. Details here.

Fox: Fox’s entire Big Noon Kickoff crew will be off the air and in quarantine on Saturday, but the show will go on. More here.

Lincoln (D-II – CA): An FBS coaching veteran with PAC-12 coaching experience has landed a defensive coordinator job at a Division II startup program.

Howard (FCS - Washington, DC): Howard University is currently accepting applications for Equipment Coordinator. Responsibilities will include operating the football equipment room, forecasting of equipment needs, allocation, procurement and receipt, maintenance, repair, replacement, and proper handling and safe keeping of equipment assets, inventory and practice sideline equipment. Written and oral communication skills ability to foster positive working relationships. Knowledge of all Microsoft Office software and able to learn and use institutional software systems.
