Stanford: Stanford announced it will begin training camp Friday at nearby Woodside High School in Santa Clara County. San Mateo County still hasn't approved the Cardinal to hold practices.

Florida Atlantic-Southern Miss: This game, scheduled for Saturday in Hattiesburg, has been postponed due to COVID-19 issues at FAU.

NFL: Bills / Titans game, scheduled for Sunday, is being moved to Tuesday. However, if there are additional positive tests for the Titans, the game is expected to not be played. The following week's Bills / Chiefs game would be push back from Thursday to Sunday if the Bills wind up playing this Tuesday. Adam Schefter has more on this here & in subsequent tweets.

NFL: The league has moved Sunday's Broncos / Patriots game to Monday night tweets Mike Klis. Another MNF double-header.

Baylor: Baylor is pausing all football-related activities "to allow for further evaluation of recent positive tests and the completion of close contact tracing." This is Baylor's second pause of the season; the Bears lost their opener with Louisiana Tech due to COVID issues at La Tech, then were forced to cancel a Sept. 19 home game with Houston. The Bears are off this week and host Oklahoma State on Oct. 17.

Kansas: Les Miles has tested positive for Covid. More on the situation here.

UMass: UMass has added an Oct. 17 game at Georgia Southern. It will be the Minutemen's first game of the season after announcing they would play this season back on Sept. 21. For Georgia Southern, it replaces a game against App State, which was originally scheduled for Oct. 14 but pushed back to Dec. 12.

SEC: SEC commissioner Greg Sankey threatened programs with fines and suspensions if coaches don't wear masks.

Alabama at Ole Miss: Saturday's game, originally planned for 5 p.m. local time, has been pushed back to a 6:30 p.m. in hopes of having better playing conditions. The remnants of Hurricane Delta are expected to come through the area that evening.

Jackson State: An update on Deion's staff hiring, plus the apparel Jackson State will wear on the field this spring.

Ball tonight: In the league, the Fighting Tom Bradys travel to Chicago (Fox/NFLN - 7:20ct). In the college ranks, the Angry Wave / Fighting Fritzs travel to Houston, where Dana Holgorsen's team is set to play their first game of the season (ESPN - 6:30ct)!

Arkansas Pine Bluff (FCS): Former MAC head coach Don Treadwell is set to join the UAPB staff as offensive coordinator source tells FootballScoop.

Tennessee Titans: Another Titans player has tested positive for COVID-19, and an inconclusive test from the previous day has also turned out to be positive, Tom Pelissero tweets.

Colorado State: Last night, CSU released the results of the investigation into the program and athletic department. In short, it appears little meaningful change will come in response to the allegations that athletics department staff (and specifically the football staff) did not follow Covid procedures. However, the Racial Climate Report is something they believe requires change.

Kalamazoo College (D-III - MI): Kalamazoo College is looking to fill one non-conference game in Week 4 or Week 10 of the 2021 & 2022 seasons. A home game for the 2021 season is preferred. Please contact Aaron Rice at Aaron.Rice@kzoo.edu if interested.

Houston Texans: Jack Easterby, who took over as executive vice president of football operations back in January will serve as the acting GM for the remainder of the season according to a tweet from James Palmer. The Texans plan to hire both a head coach and GM after the season and then Easterby will move back to his former role.

Lane vs. Saban: After being called "elderly" and having his coverage skills called into question, Nick Saban responded to Lane Kiffin's comments last night.

The MAC: The MAC is back with all teams playing Wednesday November 4th.
