FBS Staff Tracker: The 2020-21 FBS Staff Tracker page, where you can see how each new head coach is filling their staff, is up and running.

Montana State (FCS): The program is snagging a Nevada assistant for their defensive coordinator spot.

Tennessee: The Vols have announced the additions of Brandon Lawson (director of scouting), Chanelle Smith-Walker (director of content), Jessica Stinger (assistant director of recruiting), Charlie High (scouting coordinator offense), Trey Johnson (scouting coordinator defense) and Angela Brummet (director of recruiting).

UCF: Gus Malzahn has reportedly found his defensive coordinator.

Tennessee: Scott Altizer has joined the staff as director of football relations. Altizer previously spent two decades in Knoxville and returns after seven years in athletic administration at Chattanooga, including the past three as deputy athletics director. He previously served on Vols staffs under Butch Jones, Derek Dooley and Phil Fulmer in a variety of roles. Also, Jake Breske, who previously worked as director of recruiting for Missouri, has officially joined the staff as well.

Indiana: How do you build on a special season like Indiana had in 2020? Tom Allen explains ho "recreating everything" is critical.

Tulsa: Philip Montgomery is expected to get a contract extension this summer, according to the Tulsa World. Montgomery's current deal expires in January.

Minnesota-Duluth (D-II): The University of Minnesota Duluth, a NCAA Division II School and member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, is seeking a Defensive Assistant working in the secondary. Secondary coaching experience preferred. This is a coaching intern position. Housing, meals, and benefits are NOT included. Texas: The main lesson Sark learned from Nick Saban is different than what most other Saban assistants took from the master.

Tennessee: New defensive coordinator Tim Banks has a three-year deal worth $1.3 million the first year, $1.4 million the second year, and $1.5 million in the final year, per Knox News. His first year salary would rank fifth among SEC defensive coordinators in 2020.

Nebraska: The Huskers have finalized one-year contract extensions with nine of their ten assistant coaches as well as head strength coach Zach Duval, the Courier Tribune shares. The nine assistants, all on-field coaches other than defensive line coach Tony Tuioti (whose contract runs through December 31, 2021), now have deals that run through December 31, 2022. No raises are included in the extensions.

Mayville State (NAIA - ND): Athletic director Ryan Hall is leaving to accept the assistant athletic director for development position at Northwestern State.

Ohio Dominican (D-II): The Ohio Dominican team is seeking 5-6 candidates to fulfill football video coordinator intern duties for the 2021 Spring semester. This is an unpaid internship but there is an ability to get school internship credit. Duties:Filming of games and practices.Office and meeting room organization. Assisting in film breakdown and staff meetings. Additional duties as assigned by the coaches and graduate assistants. This position provides video experience working for and to be affiliated with NCAA Division II certified football coaches and staff members. Offers the opportunity to travel with the team, learn how to take, organize and intercut film. It is a great way to gain experience in this field, network, and get a letter of recommendation at the end of the season. Practices are from 5pm-7pm during the week starting as soon as possible. Arkansas-Pine Bluff (FCS): Vice chancellor and athletics director Chris Peterson is retiring and executive senior associate athletics director Chris Robinson is being named interim athletic director while a search is conducted.

Tulsa: Rick Dickson has had the interim label removed and been named athletic director moving forward. Kelly Hines adds via a tweet that "this is still not a long-term situation but will empower Dickson regarding the strategic plan and personnel decisions." Dickson previously served as the school's AD from 2000-2015.

Florida State: Per source, Syracuse director of high school relations Ryan Bartow is accepting the same role at Florida State. Bruce Feldman has tweeted the same.

Samford (FCS - AL): Sources tell FootballScoop receivers coach Mitch Stewart, who previously served as the head coach at Murray State, has been promoted to offensive coordinator. Also, special teams coordinator Ricky Turner will now handle running backs as well, and KD Humphries (a former all American QB and RB coach at Murray State) is joining the staff as quarterbacks coach. Zach Mathers is joining the staff from Sioux Falls as strength and conditioning coach.

Sam Houston State (FCS – TX): Sam Houston Football is seeking candidates for two restricted earnings Quality Control positions (1 Offense, 1 Defense). Interested candidates please email resume and references to shsufootballops@gmail.com. No phone calls please.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Trip MacCracken, a former exec with the Browns and Chiefs, has been hired as director of roster management, Tom Pelissero

The #Jaguars have hired Trip MacCracken as Director of Roster Management. A well-respected exec formerly of the #Browns and #Chiefs, MacCracken has a salary cap background. Jacksonville dismissed John Idzik last month.

Top Available: We took a look at the top 7 available coaches that spend the 2020 season as head coaches or coordinators that are still on the market.

Southern Utah (FCS): Per source, former Southern Utah player Tever McFalls has been hired as tight ends coach. He spent last season with Utah State in an off the field role. There are currently no positions available on staff.

Stevenson (D-III - MD): Stevenson University has an open date for week 2 2022/23. A home game is preferred in 2022, and we are open to a one year deal. Contact football@stevenson.edu.

DePauw (D-III – IN): DePauw University looking to fill a home date spring 2021. Preferably Sunday March 28th. March 20th also an option, interested teams contact Head Coach Brett Dietz at brettdietz@depauw.edu

Springfield College (D-III - MA): Springfield College is looking to fill an open date for Week 4 (9/25/2021 & 9/24/2022) or Week 5 (10/2/2021 & 10/1/2022). Looking for a home game in 2021, with a return away game in 2022. Also open to a one-year agreement for 2021 only. Prefer a team from the New England/Northeast region. Augustana (D-II - SD):Augustana University located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has an immediate opening for a Restricted Earnings - Defensive Backs Coach. The position includes a $6,000 stipend and meal plan. It can also include graduate school tuition if the successful candidate chooses and is accepted into graduate school. The successful applicant must have a college degree (and if interested in graduate school have a minimum 3.0 GPA). Experience with Def Secondary as player or coach are preferred. Dakota State (NAIA - SD): Dakota State University in Madison, SD has an open date on Saturday September 11, 2021. We are looking for a Home game in 2021 and would be willing to play on the road for the corresponding date in 2022. St. Thomas (FCS – MN): Making an unprecedented move from Division III to FCS, St. Thomas is not messing around with its first non-conference game.

Delaware Valley (D-III - PA): Delaware Valley University located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania is looking for a game on 9/11/2021. Looking for a 2 year contract. Can be home or away in 2021 and will reciprocate in 2022. Please contact Charles.Greco@delval.edu.

Springfield (D-III - MA):Springfield College is looking for an opponent for a home and home series for 2021 and 2022 with the possibility to extend to a longer contract. The dates we have open are September 25 nd , 2021 and September 24 st , 2022. Would prefer a home game in 2021 and we will travel in 2022. All Division III/II opponents will be considered.
