Arizona State: With Tony White off to Syracuse, Marvin Lewis and Antonio Pierce will serve as co-defensive coordinators for the Sun Devils. More here.

Syracuse: Arizona State defensive coordinator Tony White (who was promoted this offseason), will be the new defensive coordinator at Syracuse Pete Thamel has tweeted. White coached corners the past two seasons at Arizona State.

Michigan State: An early update on the search for Michigan State's next head coach.

Southwestern (D-III - TX): Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX is accepting applications for the position of intern football coach. This position is eligible for hourly pay and some meals will be provided. No housing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruiting, on-field coaching, data analytics, scouting, practice preparation, and assisting the head football coach in all areas of program administration. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. A background check is required. To apply, submit a cover letter, resume and professional references to jaustin@southwestern.edu. Louisiana College (D-III): Andrew Maddox, an alum of the program who worked his way up from student assistant to defensive coordinator before taking the head coaching job at Glenbrook HS (LA), has been named head coach.

Missouri: The program has added Cole Cook and Keegan McDaniel from Appalachian State in offensive quality control roles, and Jeff Smart and Grant O'Brien as defensive quality control analysts.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Former 49ers GM Trent Baalke is joining the team as director of player personnel.

Michigan State: Mark Dantonio has announced he is stepping down as head coach of the Spartans.

Fort Valley State (D-II - GA): Former Gardner Webb assistant head coach / offensive line Kenny Ray has accepted the assistant head coach / offensive line position at Fort Valley State we are told.

UCF: Michael Gibbs offensive line grad assistant at Southern Miss is heading to UCF to become the offensive line quality control source tells FootballScoop. Before serving at Southern Miss Gibbs served in the same role at Arkansas State.

Juniata (D-III - PA): Josh Carter has been named head coach at Juniata. Carter has coached receivers and special teams at Muhlenberg the past six seasons.

Youngstown State (FCS - OH): Youngstown State is deep into their process to find their next head coach. A look at where they stand.

Lawrence Tech (NAIA - MI): Defensive coordinator Avante Mitchell has been named head coach. Mitchell was named the program's interim head coach following the dismissal of head coach Jeff Duvendeck.

Vanderbilt: Malcolm Turner has resigned as AD. Candice Storey Lee has been appointed interim AD, making her the first African-American female to lead an SEC athletics department. A former Commodore athlete and a three-time Vanderbilt graduate, Lee has been VU's deputy AD since 2016.

New York Giants: Stephen Brown will join the staff as an offensive assistant, according to Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL. Brown previously served in a similar role with the Dallas Cowboys.

Cincinnati Bengals: Colt Anderson will join the staff as an assistant special teams coach, per Field Yates of ESPN.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have announced Chad O'Shea as passing game coordinator.

Liberty: Sources tell FootballScoop Hugh Freeze's chief of staff Jim Nichols has been promoted to vice president of University and Athletic development. We hear Darry Marshall (who served as defensive quality control this past season) is expected to be promoted to the chief of staff role.

South Dakota State (FCS):  South Dakota State University is looking to hire a Special Teams/Film Quality Control position. This is a 10-month stipend position with no benefits, housing or meals, with the opportunity to earn additional income through summer camps. Preferred candidates will have prior experience coaching special teams and experience with hudl. Candidates will be responsible for assisting with special team’s breakdown and film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach/special team’s coordinator. DC Defenders (XFL): Former St. Anselm and Shepherd running backs coach Steve Comuntzis has joined the staff as a quality control coach, source tells FootballScoop.

Liberty: Source tells FootballScoop Hugh Freeze has added SJ Tuohy to his staff as assistant AD - football operations. Tuohy served as assistant director of operations at Arkansas the past two seasons.

Azusa Pacific (D-II - CA): Rudy Carlton, who has been the team's offensive coordinator the past ten seasons, has been named head coach. He replaces Victor Santa Cruz, who left to become the defensive coordinator at Hawaii.

Washington State: Nick Rolovich has completed his staff (all of which we've previously shared) with the hires of Brian Smith (offensive coordinator / running backs), Craig Stutzmann (co-offensive coordinator) / quarterbacks coach), Andre Allen (wide receivers), and Mark Weber (offensive line). All four guys previously worked with Rolo at Hawaii.

Slippery Rock (D-II - PA): Slippery Rock University is seeking a graduate assistant to coach the defensive backs. Previous playing and coaching experience is preferred. This position will be given the title of defensive backs coach, along with full responsibility of the development of that position, as well as a recruiting territory. Murray State (FCS - KY): Dean Hood has announced his coaching staff as follows; Ben Hodges (OC / QBs), Johnson Richardson (recruiting coordinator / offensive line), Evan McKissack (TEs / RBs), Fred Walker (WRs), Dillon Sanders (DC / ILBs), Chris Cunningham (STC / OLBs), Yon Boone (secondary), Darius Hart (DL).
