Missouri State (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Art Briles will be announced as the new head coach tomorrow. Local report says it will be Bobby Petrino. This is something.

Oregon: Brett McMurphy's report that Joe Moorhead would be the new OC at Oregon was "premature" and "Oregon's search process is still undecided" reports James Crepea who covers the Ducks for The Oregonian.

Michigan State: No real update here, just as there has been none thus far since their season ended; but just wanted to remind everyone that Mark Dantonio will be owed a $4.3 million retention bonus tomorrow.

Oregon: Former Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorhead is expected to be Oregon's new offensive coordinator Brett McMurphy tweets. Several days ago we outlined that Moorhead was one of three leading candidates.

Baylor: An update on Baylor's search, where we hear the hire is coming soon enough.

Colorado State: Boston College offensive grad assistant Cody Booth has joined Steve Addazio's staff as tight ends coach.

Washington State: Nick Rolovich has officially been named head coach.

Cleveland: Kevin Stefanski has narrowed his choices for DC to Steve Wilks or Joe Woods Jim Trotter is reporting.

Denver: The Broncos have signed new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to a two year deal Mike Klis is reporting. His deal seemingly is fully offset by the money the Giants owe him.

Carolina: The Panthers sought permission to interview Saints assistant offensive line coach Brendan Nugent and were denied Jeff Duncan has tweeted. Duncan adds that Nugent and Brady are long-time friends and colleagues.

Joe Brady: LSU assistant Joe Brady is planning to accept the opportunity to join the Carolina Panthers Adam Schefter has tweeted. We wrote about the interest from Matt Rhule a few days ago.

Southeast Missouri (FCS): University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff run game coordinator / offensive line coach Jason Onyebuagu has accepted the offensive line position at SEMO source tells FootballScoop. Onyebuagu is a former AFCA 30 under 30 representative with previous stops at NC Central, Syracuse, and the University of North Carolina.

Louisville: Louisville football is seeking to hire a graphics designer who will focus on recruiting. Posted minimum salary is $47,000+.

Notre Dame: Brian Kelly is promoting quarterbacks coach Tommy Rees to offensive coordinator. In connection with the move, Kelly also announced that running backs coach Lance Taylor will add the run game coordinator title as well.

Old Dominion: James Madison defensive tackles coach Andrew Jackson is leaving to join the ODU staff reports Greg Madia.

Virginia Tech: James Madison safeties coach Ryan Smith will join the Hokies' staff reports Greg Madia.

USC: Three senior officials have been fired by the University. COO/CFO Steve Lopes, Trojan Athletic Fund senior associate AD Ron Orr and associate AD Scott Jacobson have all been let go. The LA Times is reporting the move is connected to "past scandals, including the varsity blues admissions scandal."

Oakland: The Raiders have fired defensive line coach Brenston Buckner and are expected to replace him with Rod Marinelli tweets Jim Trotter.

Black Hills State (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop Jordan "JB" Brown linebackers coach at Abilene Christian the past 3 seasons has accepted the defensive coordinator/assistant head coach position at Black Hills State

Old Dominion: LSU grad assistant John Decoster has accepted the tight ends job at ODU tweets Bruce Feldman. Sources tell FootballScoop this is in the works as well.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins have promoted assistant director of college scouting Tim Gribble to director.

Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals are adding Derius Swinton as assistant special teams coach Field Yates is reporting. Swinton last coached in the NFL in 2018 when he was an offensive assistant for the Lions.

Cal: Long-time Cal Poly running backs coach Aristotle Thompson has now been officially named running backs coach at Cal.

Texas: South Carolina linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler will take the linebackers / special teams job at Texas Horns247 is now reporting.

Northern Colorado (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop tight ends coach Mike Armour and running backs coach Brandon Maguire have been retained.

Fresno City College (CC - CA): Fresno City has an immediate position open for an Offensive Line coach. Seeking a well-qualified coach with significant experience coaching OL at a competitive level. This coach will exhibit the ability to teach outstanding technique and fundamentals, have a strong recruiting background, possess the ability to support diverse groups. This is a stipend position with the possibility of teaching classes with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education. USC: The University of Southern California is looking to hire a Director of Football Operations. Update> We thank you all for your applications. We will be in touch.

Chicago Bears: Senior offensive assistant Brad Childress will not return to the staff he tells Mary Kay Cabot.

Rutgers: Former Minnesota defensive coordinator Robb Smith will be Rutgers defensive coordinator. Smith coached for Schiano at Rutgers (previously) and in Tampa. He spent this past season as an analyst at Texas A&M.

Missouri Southern State (D-II): Sources tell FootballScoop Matt Rahl will be the new offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Missouri Southern State. Rahl, whose offenses put up prodigious numbers at McKendree, accepted the opportunity to serve on Dana Dimel's staff at UTEP the past two seasons.

Quincy (D-II - IL): Ryan Olson has been announced as Quincy's new offensive coordinator. Olson recently completed his first season on staff and coached previously at Eastern Michigan and Minnesota State-Mankato.

LSU: Ed Orgeron's $4 million salary makes him the lowest-paid (by national ranking among coaches' salaries) national champion coach since USA Today began tracking coaches' salaries in 2006, per USA Today's Steve Berkowitz.

Louisiana Tech: Skip Holtz has now formally announced Joe Sloan as his new offensive coordinator. We expect Sloan to shift to coaching quarterbacks (he was coaching receivers) with this move. Receivers coach to come...

Mississippi State: Mike Leach plans to bring several assistants from Wazzu to Starkville. Braulio Perez reports Eric Mele (RBs), Mason Miller (OL), Steve Spurrier Jr (outside receivers) and Matt Brock (special teams) are all making plans to get to Mississippi asap.

Black Hill State (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop Southeast Missouri (FCS) offensive line coach Ben Blake will be the new offensive coordinator at Black Hills State.

Washington State: Hawaii head coach Nick Rolovich will be Washington State's new head coach per multiple reports.

Texas: Anwar Richardson is reporting South Carolina linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler is the leading candidate to join Texas' staff.

Auburn: Former Ole Miss offensive line coach Jack Bicknell Jr. has joined the Auburn staff in the same capacity.

Toledo: Mount Union head coach Vince Kehres has accepted a position on Jason Candle's staff at Toledo.

XFL Rules: Believe it or not, the XFL season begins in just a few weeks. Major changes to kickoffs and punts, 9-point touchdowns, a hockey-inspired overtime structure, double passes, and other intriguing new rules the XFL has in store.
