Houston: A former Texas assistant is planning to join the staff, sources tell FootballScoop. Details here.

USC: Clay Helton and Graham Harrell plan to hire Clay McGuire as their new offensive line coach per multiple reports. McGuire, who currently is offensive line coach at Texas State, previously coached at Washington State, East Carolina and Texas Tech.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Former 49ers GM Trent Baalke is the expected GM hire to work with Urban Meyer for the Jaguars, per Ian Rapoport. Baalke has been with the Jaguars for the past year, serving first as director of player personnel, then as acting general manager.

Marshall: Sources tell FootballScoop Charles Huff is making a number of changes at Marshall.

Alabama: The ESPN staff is reporting Nick Saban is closing in on hiring Doug Marrone as his offensive line coach.

Los Angeles Rams: Raheem Morris will be the next defensive coordinator for the Rams per Josina Anderson.

Tennessee: Have you heard the story of Tennessee handing recruits bags of money?

Los Angeles Chargers: Offensive line coach James Campen is not expected to be retained Adam Schefter tweets.

Coach of the Year: The FootballScoop Coach of the Year program is back for its 13th year. We will accept nominations for all FBS coordinator, position coach, and strength, personnel and ops candidates at through the end of this week. Finalists will be announced beginning Monday, Jan. 25. Winners will be selected by prior winners.

Illinois: Kevin Richardson II has joined the staff as a defensive GA. Richardson played for Bret Bielema at Arkansas.

Philadelphia Eagles: Tom Pelissero tweets that the Eagles are interviewing Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore for the head coaching job today.

Michigan: Cowboys defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist is expected to join the Michigan staff as co-defensive coordinator.

Detroit Lions: Saints secondary coach Aaron Glenn is heading to Detroit with Dan Campbell as defensive coordinator and the two sides are closing in on a deal, Ian Rapoport tweets.

Chicago Bears: The organization interviewed former Giants and Cardinals defensive coordinator James Bettcher for their vacant defensive coordinator job yesterday, Ian Rapoport tweets.

Houston: Joe Cauthen will not return as defensive coordinator and his replacement is already on staff, sources told FootballScoop. Details here.

Tennessee: The University has not yet authorized Kevin Steele to formally hire new assistant coaches; but that is expected to be resolved by the end of the week Jimmy Hyams tweets.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles plan to interview New Orleans Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen tomorrow Jason La Canfora tweets.

Tennessee Titans: Former Vanderbilt linebackers coach Kenechi Udeze is "likely to land with the Titans in an on-field coaching role" Matt Zenitz tweets.

Northwestern: Pat Fitzgerald is tapping a veteran NFL assistant with coordinating experience in the league to fill his defensive coordinator opening, per report. We can confirm the hire.

Stonehill (D-II - MA): Stonehill College seeks applicants for the position of assistant football coach for offense. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing/coaching on the offensive side of the ball, preferably offensive line, with at least 1 year of collegiate coaching experience. Candidates will be responsible for coaching a position group, recruiting a geographical area, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the head football coach. A bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license is required. This is a stipend position and includes an on-campus meal plan. No housing or health benefits are included, however there is access to affordable housing nearby. Start date is February 1. LSU: After reports indicated LSU had its new defensive coordinator in Ryan Nielsen, the Saints are now keeping their defensive line coach with a promotion. The search continues.

Bloomsburg (D-II - PA): Per source, Bloomsburg has bought out the contracts of Chet Henicle (assistant HC / DC) and Jack Lydic (OC) and the two will not return to the staff.

Los Angeles Rams: "Not done yet; but it's looking like Raheem Morris will be the one to replace Brandon Staley" as defensive coordinator for the Rams tweets Mike Garafolo. Urban Meyer reportedly was very interested in Morris for the same role with the Jaguars.

Ole Miss: Offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby's new deal is worth about $1.2 million annually, per 247 who adds that athletic director Keith Carter has shared that discussions of pay raises are currently ongoing with other assistant coaches as well.

Los Angeles Chargers: Brandon Staley is targeting a current MAC head coach for his Chargers staff, per report.

New Orleans Saints: After being the target of LSU's defensive coordinator search, multiple reports are now sharing that defensive line coach Ryan Nielsen is remaining with the Saints.

Oklahoma: Lincoln Riley has hired former Sooner Joe Jon Finley to replace Shane Beamer. Details here.

East Texas Baptist (D-III): East Texas Baptist University is currently seeking highly qualified applicants for the position of graduate assistant coach working with the Defensive Line. This is an entry level position (low salary with NO benefits and NO housing). The assistant coach is responsible for, but not limited to, assist the head football coach in the leadership and direction of the program; organize practice sessions, participate in the preparation of student-athletes for competition and provide positive guidance to students off the field. Notre Dame: Cincinnati director of recruiting Chad Bowen is following Marcus Freeman to Notre Dame and will be defensive director of recruiting for the Irish, Keith Jenkins tweets. Sources tell FootballScoop that this may happen, but isn't a done deal at this time.

Miami Dolphins: Joe Schad tweets that offensive line coach Steve Marshall will not return and that Lemuel Jeanpierre is being promoted to offensive line coach.

Philadelphia Eagles: Colts offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni is interviewing for the Eagles head coaching job today, Adam Schefter tweets.

New York Jets: Robert Saleh plans to hire Taylor Embree as running backs coach and Miles Austin as receivers coach Peter Schrager tweets. Embree coached at Colorado this season (tight ends) and spent '17-19 with the 49ers. Austin played in the league 10 seasons, and has worked with the Niners and Jets.

LSU: On the radio this morning Ed Orgeron confirmed Ryan Nielsen is his target for defensive coordinator; but confirmed that he remains under contract with the Saints (DL coach) and no deal has been reached yet.

Pitt: Pat Narduzzi plans to hire Bucknell defensive coordinator Ryan Manalac as linebackers coach Bruce Feldman tweets. Manalac was a grad assistant for Narduzzi at Michigan State.

Vanderbilt: Clark Lea plans to hire Baltimore Ravens defensive backs coach Jesse Minter as his defensive coordinator Pete Thamel tweets. Minter previously served as defensive coordinator at Georgia State.

Troy: Former Kansas offensive line coach Luke Meadows is expected to join the Troy staff in the same role source tells FootballScoop. Brandon Marcello first mentioned the move.

Texas: Sark is targeting Washington defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski for defensive coordinator role, per report.

West Alabama (D-II):West Alabama is looking for a home game for either March 6th or Feb. 27th. Please contact Dave Terry if interested.

North Texas: New defensive coordinator Phil Bennett shared with SicEm365 Radio that he plans to bring Jim Gush with him as linebackers coach. Gush most recently served as the defensive coordinator at McNeese State (FCS - LA).

Dakota Wesleyan (NAIA): Taylor Summers has joined the program as special teams coordinator / defensive line coach.

New Orleans Saints:Jeff Duncan tweets that the Saints are leaning toward promoting from within to replace Terry Fontenot (who left to become the GM for the Falcons) as director of player personnel and that pro scout Michael Parenton is a "name to watch."

Alabama: Nick Saban is looking at possibly adding a second former NFL head coach for his offensive rebuild in Tuscaloosa.

Chicago Bears: The Bears have requested permission to speak with Cowboys senior defensive assistant George Edwards about their defensive coordinator job, Todd Archer tweets.

Tennessee: A look at those coaches expected to be in the mix to be the next head coach at Tennessee. And while we’re at it, let’s have a talk about how good this job really is.

Atlanta Falcons: The organization has now formally announced the hire of Terry Fontenot as their new GM.

Jeremy Pruitt: This evening, Jeremy Pruitt responded to his being fired. Safe to say, he’s not pleased with how this went down.

Bialystok Lowlanders (Poland): Bialystok Lowlanders, a football team in Poland, is looking for a defensive coordinator. The coach would be responsible for teaching, practice planning, game planning, video break down, meetings and some special teams. The season runs from March 1st to Mid July. This position includes flight there and back to the US, a shared apartment with the the head coach, one free meal a day, transportation pass, free phone, insurance, gym, plus $600 a month.
